I'd love to see him asking the name for the 'Deathfist', 'Tackle', 'Relax', because those are iconic moves, and not everyone knows they're named "Phoenyx Smasher", "Mount" and "Negativa". I'm a Ganryu player and if he asked the name for df3 or d1+2, I'd have to think a little before "Kick & Pull" and "Pedal Press" comes to my mind, but I've got no clue how much damage they deal, and they're not obscure. I don't know the name of his unblockable (db3+4), though.

Heihachi's first part where he beats Kazuya in the final fight of the tournament is canon, then he leads Kazuya to Honmaru, then Kazuya's middle part where he gets possessed by Devil and knocks out Heihachi and attempts to absorb the other half of him within Jin is canon, then all of Jin's ending where he beats both Kazuya and Heihachi is canon. It's basically Heihachi > Kazuya > Jin.

Actually (🤓) Heihachi won two times. Once in tekken 2 and then in tekken 4 because jin gets captured, kazuya is the challenger but heihachi defeats him then leads kazuya to jin in honmaru.

And that was before I discovered Tekken Zaibatsu and the Tekken community with their own community names for moves like electric wind god fist (rising uppercut) and crouching demon (mental alertness). Most people don't even know the actual name of Paul's Death Fist (Phoenix Smasher).

I'd really wanna know the story of how Spinning Demon, which it has officially been for a quarter of a century, became "Hellsweep" to almost every player. The sweep part of course is very logical at least, and I'd more easily understand "demon sweep" or "spinning sweep," but somehow "hell" got added there.

IIRC the Japanese name 奈落払い (Naraku Barai) translates as Hell Sweeps To Left Hook is called Naraku Senpū, or Hell Whirlwind. it's like how Rising Uppercut (cd 2) was referred to as WGF (Wind God Fist, the translation of Fuujinken) until they actually "corrected" the English name to match the translated Japanese

No one cares about the name of the moves in Tekken there are litteral moves that are just called left hook, and guess what the move is a left hook. Which on paper doesn't sound great untill you realize its a safe high 13 frame counter hit launcher. Then you'd think it would have a name like Fly Swatter when in reality its just referred to as FLK Jab. See sounds impressive to know that but in the end people care more about the practical names based on notation because we are already memorizing over 100 strings per character at this point.
