I actually like this model. I always kind of felt in a way that the 37 and the 38 was kind of a throwaway shoe. Not trying to be mean but I being a Jordan lover myself, you really didn't see this with those two models about the design specs and in depth creation of that sneaker. I thought that Tate Kurbis designed The Air Jordan 37 and the Air Jordan 38. But this shoe is hot. I'm really feeling this. Especially since they took a lot inspiration from AJ29 which was one of my favorite sneakers. I had the low elephant print ones that Mike had on in his flight basketball camp. This might be a new model I probably rock. Then like the 37 style because of the mesh and you can only wear them only on the basketball court. They're not for style. And the I guess the x plate on the 38 felt okay but I felt a what can you say a push in the ball of my foot in the center. These look very comfortable and me being a Jordan brand collector since I was 15 years old, this is nice. 👏☺️

You can never go wrong with classic color-ways that you know will sell themselves. I love the simplicity of the shoe and I like the direction that the wanna take this in but in my opinion Jordan signature line of shoes were never know to be simple. The best looking 38 was the one with the “aqua 8”color-way. That’s the only 38 I picked up.

It’s good to see they’re trying to get back to being at the forefront of the basketball tech and design for shoes. I also like that they did mention that they’re getting away from the wild colors and limiting this to 9 colorways. However, I really think they still need to have core Jordan Legacy Brand colors at launch. The White/Black/Red and the “Bred” for the Bulls to honor Mike or even a Concord or Spacejam if needed. To me that’s the way to maintain the legacy and feel it was lost with some of these other releases.

Can you go into more detail as far as how the cushioning feels under foot. Specifically in the forefoot ? Like is it bouncy, plush, soft? Zoomx and Zoom sounds like a crazy good combo. Do you feel it in every step? And did you figure out what was missing from the shoe?

Well I don’t hate them. I do miss the luxury focus on the signatures though. I think instead of all that rubber on the tongue it should be a luxury weave, something like on the 32. The cushion set up is wild.. no strobel board? Just the outsole and the insert.

The loop holes instantly remind me of the AJ Eclipse which was a cheaper shoe, feels like the loop holes should be a little better for a 200+ premium Jordan. Also the Air Jordan 39 basic font on the heel is super underwhelming for how beautiful the rest of the sneaker looks.
