I love to see young people knitting. I love knitting so much, it actually became my career. My actual job is helping people with pattern queries for a large yarn wholesaler in the UK,not to mention blogging about it professionally for the company I work for. I have noticed during lockdown that lots of people are knitting again. Knitting is a booming business! Beautiful knitting! I knit all the time too.

I suggest that you start with something basic, gloves, or a small animal. There’s a lot of tutorials out there, and you could probably do those quite easily. I would totally love a basic knitting tutorial too, since I sort of started out of the blue 😂

a great way to start knitting is a scarf!! you literally do the same stitch for the entire thing and imo it’s the per fee by way to get comfortable with the needles and all that

I'm definitely on a project high this week too! I finished knitting a hat (that was 80% done for the last year but I finally picked it back up!) and then quickly went on to crochet a shawl for a friend. I'm buying the pattern and starting this today! Hmm, one thing that might help you, if you can bulk film maybe like a couple of videos (like you could pre record 2 easier projects, edit them, upload them but don't make them public) then go back to your usual routine. Now if you are sick one Tuesday or you need a break you have 2 videos ready to cover for you :) just a thought, love your videos! I've tried to knit but I am so impatient I always quit haha

F I N I S H T H A T S W E A T E R ! ! ! ! I got inspiration from this pattern I followed, but you start from the back and work top down. Leave the working yarn on a separate needle and then pick up stitches from where you want the shoulders to be (working the front section top down and then connecting the front and back in the round)

When knitting the upper portion of the vest then shoulders down to the arm holes. You pick up the stitches to connect the body. Technically you are knitting backwards/upside down. Can you see the difference between the top portion and the bottom portion of the stitches?
