Most of the yearlings accept their new identity but there are always exceptions. Understandable when a baby has arrived, less tangible when there isn't one yet..... And we will get a glimpse of a freshly baked cutie-bun too !

Some of it is just a nervous habit. I see many breeds of monkeys doing that, especially babies when nursing up until their late childhood.

JW responded to my question a while ago regarding this. Claiming due to diligent grooming their parasite and cooty situation is low to nil. It's probably various reasons such as, dry skin, shedding fur coat, nervous habits

if they were such loving mothers then why is it when the new baby comes along they can care less 4 the last child b 4 the new baby even when the new baby doesn't always need there undivided attention. I think thats why the kids always act like spoiled lil brats when they dont/ do get there way!!!😮😮😮

Of course they care. They groom them daily and sleep close with them at night. They have to set boundaries so they learn to become independent. It's a way of survival as a wild animal. A dependent monkey is at a much higher risk of dying. Remember they're not humans. 🤓🇸🇪

Doubt it. Didn't see that happening with my kids, large family. Actually it was the opposite. The were independent from early on, potty trained much earlier than their peers, ect.

They don't get spoiled. They're monkeys. Even human toddlers get grumpy and have tantrums. That's what is happening with Graffy and Liphany. It's tough for them. They are learning that the milkbar is closed to them now and that mom's attention is no longer theirs alone. For some yearlings, independence is easy. Some take a little longer.
