I’ve been reading Tarana Burke’s, founder of the MeToo movement, book Unbound and it has helped a lot with this particular conversation. Even though we’ve spoke with our children about the importance of body security and stranger danger, unfortunately sometimes it’s still not enough. The access is so vast. I’m now focused on ALSO creating a safe space of expression. I want my children to understand that they can tell me ANYTHING. Also using my own abuse to demonstrate vulnerability. Not to mention pay close attention to those in close proximity that demonstrate questionable behavior. The days of protecting family members is long gone. I hope this helps someone.

Hello Ed! One of the best ways to protect our children is to hold off on buying them personal cell phones at a super early age: 8,9,10, even earlier from what I’ve seen. My kid just turned 10 years old and she doesn’t “need” a cell phone. I drop her off at school and pick her up, she uses my cell phone to text her school friends and I monitor and read everything. We have a home computer and she has a school laptop and i monitor those as well. Predators prey on ACCESS and opportunity in my humble opinion. I will wait until by kid is older in middle school to get her a cell. As parents; let’s not placate our kids with electronics.

I think it's a great thing what Chris does! There needs to be more sting operations out there, cause "Hansen Vs Predator" showed me that there's lots of this going on. It's scary knowing the amount of predators there is out there

If your child wants to be online the guidelines are this. Do not invite or talk to anyone you don't know personally. Also, give them key words to bail out of the conversation and involve a parent.

Online & in your local neighborhood! Last Halloween I had a predator chase me up my stairs . And on that night around the last time of the night my daughter would of taken our pup out to go potty. He started by making noise below my windows. Yes I called 911 and report the guy had no shoes on painted hands terrycloth Robe no shirt on . Straight long light brown bang . I would notice his feet if I seen them again. When I open my door to check the noise in the beginning he was just there . Head down I said are you ok ? Wrong thing ! As I got to 5 step he ran up I was fast enough to slam locked the door and told my family stay in we have a predator out ! At our door ! 🙏🏼❤️ please pray for us . I thought it was a joke butttttt . Hell noooo ! Bullets do fly so I acted smart and safe. I will always keep my family & friends protected the best I can 🙏🏼🙇🏼‍♀️ty for this video men of God #maxout
