But how do we exercise the observing and lettiing go part? How do we do it on our everyday lives?

Walking meditation is one way. Staying conscious as to what your thoughts are, labelling the emotions to the thoughts and fully accepting them without any judgement whatsoever, sitting with it, and shifting it to your desired feelings (abundance) and observing the shift. Reducing exposure to negative social media content. The little I've learned though. Hope it helps you.
