I feel like their kiss was mainly for mark's sake. She obviously doesn't want to ruin the marriage she already has so she knows that if she pursues mark it would be morally wrong. Her kissing him doesn't mean she's in love with him, it's just a way of saying "im sorry". And when he says "enough" at the end, it shows that even he knows that they shouldn't be together and that kiss was enough for him to move on from her.

When I was a kid this was my favorite scene, as I grew older I realized this would be pathetic in real life, and unrequited love is only beautiful in fiction. It's these shows and these movies... Don't waste your affections on someone you can't be with or worse yet someone who doesn't want to be with you. There are plenty of people. Just meet more of them.
