Why shouldn't india agree to become a part of China instead of staying as the absolute irrelevant country of toilet-less scammers? Don't give me nonsense reason like patriotism and emotions. Give me actual economic and strategic reasons why india becoming a province of China would not be better for indians than it is right now. Go ahead... Imagine the wealth, the power, and the resources Akhanda China, expanding from Sea of Japan to Arabian sea with 2.8 billion people would have.. can you imagine??? Now imagine being a citizen of that superpower country. An agreement to Anchulss india into Akhanda China would be the best thing for 1 billion indians atleast. Maybe the English speaking indian elites will lose their power but for the ordinary indians, it will be divine blessing to uplift their lives..

It's really a brilliant article/episode made by You , Sir. It's most neglected but ironically most important issue affecting life of our citizens. A victim always remain frightened and criminals hang raped girls on trees in open. NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE 1861. In every regime masters wanted someone to get their dirty deeds done or to hide their dirty deeds or to harass their opponents. Even this "someone" when fed up with their conscience call, he kills his own conscience just to survive.

Agree. Need to do bit by bit. It is much needed but the PM can’t reform everything in one go (things left open for 70 yrs). BTW There is an independent arm called judiciary which needs a very serious push. The jails are over flowing and judiciary is just appointing CJIs for 2-6 months duration. It doesn’t help that judiciary appointments are almost as non transparent as the congress party leadership appointments

Loved the compelling points ! it is a powerful episode for all those who should be listening. While I agree that there should be a top down approach for police reforms it is disheartening that not one police person serving or retired who has come out with a paper in the last 5 decades urging successive governments to implement police reforms. For modern day threats ranging from cyber security to terrorism the police seem to be woefully comfortable in their obsolescence.

Police reform is most likely never going to happen in India. Politicians will never want to cede control of the police force as they work as the ruling party's enforcers. This is a quintessential case of opposing interests where the interests of politicians goes against the public interest. Unless, of course, we elect better politicians which we Indians who are divided on the basis of region, religion, language, caste, skin color etc. will probably never do.

The Islamic invasion into India and the subsequent British entry into India destroyed the sexually liberal culture of Ancient India to a great extent. Nudity , toplessness and homosexuality were widely common in Ancient India. Just see the ancient temples of Khajuraho and Ajanta Ellora. Sadly today Indians are more inclined towards the Victorian Christian Morality.
@hubrisnaut2 жыл бұрын
bs, public toplessness and homosexuality are normal in Sweden, a historically Christian society. Even in my British protestant founded State in America, woman can go "topless". There is no "law" against it. Maybe you are thinking of Muslims...

Policing should be strict, modern and since we are now a socially mature society with good law and order, it’s important to raise the punishment in crpc. A rapist or a love jihadii gets 9 month of jail only, for ruining the entire life of a girl …… he comes out open and kills the entire family
@badshahshah46112 жыл бұрын
Police in India are criminals & political stooges in Uniform whose bravado is limited to harassing & extorting the civilian populace. However when confronted in the task of being first responder in a terror strike, Police will disappear. Police training, conduct & leadership is of serving colonial Masters who are replaced by Indian masters who target their own countrymen as colonialists had done. No difference. Police in India is the last organisation any citizen would with deal with or complain or ask for help. Barring few individual Exceptions the majority of Police personnel are hatchet men for politicans & criminals. ⚓️⚔️🇮🇳

"colonial Legacy" is necessary for officers in the armed forces because it seperates them from the other ranks. If eradicated, a phase will come when " Command" will also be regarded as a symbol of ghulami and other ranks will disobey. Modi doesn't like enlightened cultured officers who can eat in french styles, British cutlaries because he can't do such things. Thus calls it colonial and other bakwas 😁
