Yes! I'm 22 and I have been single my whole life as well!!! LOL And I have been working really hard to unlearn the idea that my perfect person will come along and save me from the unhappiness or loneliness or unworthiness I might feel in that moment. And I have gotten so much better at that, and I hope when I do finally meet a person I really connect with for the first time, have chemistry with etc. I will be so much better off because I don't rely and put all the pressure on another person or the relationship to nurture myself and my self worth!

As an immigrant, I've spent over 11 years away from my fam. And the beginning was extremely lonely. making friends when you don't speak the language, and come from totally different cultures and backgrounds was rough. Yet this experience thought me how to be alone and love it. But before I learned this lesson, I got into a relationship for 4 years, and that was a huge mistake and then awakening. Once I broke up with the guy, I decided I'd take a year or more to really learn who I am and what I want. And honestly, that's been the best decision of my life. Sure there are days when I feel lonely AF, but as Kelly says, I sure remind myself of what I have and express gratitude towards it. Thank you for the video!

As on only child with little to no friends and no social skills.. Being quarantined alone was so hard and during the first wave I tried to hang on to this guy.. Oh boy.. Regarding "staying friends" with exes; After my (mostly abusive) 16 year marriage broke up, when people said, "it's too bad you couldn't have remained friends," my answer has ALWAYS been, "If he had ever been a true friend to me I would never have gotten divorced. A friend wouldn't have treated me like that. It just took me about 15 years to get healthy enough to end it." You are healthy enough already to know that. Good for you, Kelly!

Fellow only child here!! 😘 I chose to be single pretty much my entire teenage life! I liked guys, but didn't want to commit when I was so young. I really found myself at a young age and knew who I was. I had one boyfriend at 20 for 8 months. Shortly after that I met my current boyfriend, who I live with (but we casually dated for a year before anything official). We've been together 8 years 😭♥️ Being in a committed relationship (with the right person) is amazing. And being single is amazing. Life is what you make it y'all!

As a *part-time* asexual, I love this. I was thinking that soon enough you'll realize you can be fine with not being in a romantic relationship.
