Two things: 1) The singers are *not* actors (not sure if y'all know that lmao. In Bollywood especially actors rarely ever sing. Instead, different singers usually do the soundtrack, and every era has its prominent singers) 2) A lot of the runs etc and resonance has to do with the fact that most if not all are trained in either Hindustani or Carnatic style of singing, which are the Indian classical systems. I'm guessing most are trained in Hindustani, though.

Hi, Justin, the reason for the diversity you see from the singers is that the songs are being sung in two different languages, Punjabi and Hindi, some of the female artists are singing in Punjabi and some of the male vocalists are singing in Hindi, there is a couple of songs sung in Urdu as well, it all boils down who has written the music, most of the time people will think they are listening to a Hindi based song but that is not always true, most of the time it is a song in Urdu and sometimes it a combination of the two Hindi and Urdu (Hindiivi)

There are many outstanding singers in India and they are random people who remain unrecognized their entire lives. I remember a random aged guy came to the mall where young people were trying their vocals. I was also there, but as an spectator. There were not so many spectators, he came in and all the people in the mall became spectators. He was amazing. Unfortunately his talent was of no use, I believe he would be 50.
