I hope you are doing well Parris. You randomly popped into my head today - I used to love watching the videos you made with your girls when I was younger. Thank you for all the laughs and knowledge you gave me all those years ago😊 I'm sorry to hear what you have been going through. My father is a prostate cancer survivor and is now thriving and living a healthy life at 73 years of age! I wish you strength and good things in the future for your family.

I can certainly relate. I did IMRT and kept my prostate, I finished last November. My doctor said I should be on Lupron for 18 months. Just got my fourth shot yesterday. Starting to get use to it. I hope that's it. I cannot imagine going any longer. I know of three people that have passed from it recently, so I'm highly motivated!

My feeling is that the negative health effects of Lupron get exponentially worse with time. Hopefully when your 18 months of treatment have finished you won't be too much worse for wear and the side effects will reverse quickly. Hang in there! 💪💪

Hi Parris, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. I would like to share the diet with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed completely. Amen. Parris, years ago I was driving and "I Wanna Talk About Me" came on. I laughed hysterically at this song, yet never heard of Toby Keith! The next day, I purchased the CD! He should rest in peace!

There are less deadly and more deadly cancers. As far as I know stomach cancer is very deadly, my family member died of stomach cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 and we new since the beginning that there is no hope. Chemotherapy could only extend her life by 6 months. I'm 7 years older than you. My PSA went up to 13 but biopsy did not find any cancer. I wish you the best.

I am sorry to hear about your family member. I knew pancreatic cancer was a bad one but I didn't know that about stomach cancer. Take care of yourself, too.

Easy mistake - but it’s now King Charles. Your looking and sounding ok three years after your chemotherapy. What drugs have you been taking since the chemo stopped? Still on ADT ?

Yes, too many years of saying "Prince Charles" and that is what seems to come out automatically. 😁 After chemo I had nine weeks of radiation. And I was originally going to do 2 years of ADT (Lupron) but some studies out of Europe apparently showed better results with men who did 3 full years of ADT. So I agreed to tough it out. Each year without testosterone was tougher than the year before. You would think after a few months or the first year the side effects wouldn't get any worse- but for me they did.

Have you looked into using deworming meds to treat yourself? There are trials going all over the world.
