Nice job only one thing to add. When you unfold store bought bias tape you will notice that one outer edge length from the fold is a skosh wider than the opposite outer edge length from the fold. This is for a reason. You should lay down the narrower side of the tape edge lined up with the raw edge of fabric on the right side of the fabric and sew it down in the fold. When you fold it all over you go back and carefully stitch in the ditch (where the fabric meets the sewn down bias tape) from the right side of the fabric. You will see the stitch just catches the edge of the other side of the folded tape, on the wrong side of the fabric. This makes for a more couture binding.

When I first started sewing, I thought bias tape just got sandwiched on the outside of the fabric -- like Pac-Man munching the edge... 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ But when done correctly, the final product looks so polished!

Wonderful! Thank you for being so thorough and getting the corners to look great. I hadn't realized you should open up the tape and sew the first part. I have been sandwiching the fabric in the bias tape and trying to sew it in which sometimes it doesn't catch on the backside. I was also having trouble getting the nice clean seam when butting the fabric up at the end. I have sewn many different things, but this is my first time using bias tape on a project.

Great job on this tutorial, I deemed it worthy of a bookmark. Thank you for mentioning the width of the seam allowances or distance from edge of fabric. I've noticed that other tutorials often fail to mention it. I found your video as I wanted to add a pocket to an apron that I am sewing and thought binding tape would make it pop. However I never have used it and was perplexed on how to make the corner look clean and polished. You have a wonderful clear voice, and your instructions were comprehensive and concise.
