I have this album. Ride the Lightning is a fantastic album. One of my favourite albums by them maybe RTL and the Black album are my top 2 George you have to do a tattoo review on yourself..I'm interested in seeing them all 😂

@scottyboi3759 I'm pleased to hear some love for this masterpiece! I adore Ride The Lightning, since revisiting it I have become hooked again! The Black Album has grown on me recently, it's not my favourite but there are some excellent deepcuts on there for sure 🤘 Haha! I'm sure I could manage that! I am in the process of deciding what tattoo to get next, so that would be a good excuse for a review! Haha!

Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are the epitomes of Thrash/Heavy Metal. I love both. I'd also enjoy Kill'Em All but without those terrible vocals. Luckily Hetfield improved on that a lot. Unfortunately Metallica died for me with Cliff Burton and due to a series of bad decisions masterminded by Lars Ulrich whom I even refuse to call a drummer.

For me, the first 3 albums are the epitome of Thrash, pure genre defining mastery! I can understand your stance on the post Cliff era, I happen to really enjoy some of the later albums, but Metallica's story has been a messy one for sure! 🤘

@@nononsensemetalreviews I wonder which albums you enjoy after Master of Puppets. I agree there are strong songs such as The Unforgiven, Blackened, The Shortest Straw, Until It Sleeps, and Holier Than Thou but as full great albums I might have to revisit Death Magnetic.
