I once thought that there was child with a colorful shirt on crawling in the road, I stopped immediately and ran to it. It turned out to be a poodle in a sweater. It was in the middle of nowhere in the dark. I advertised her as found, but nobody ever claimed her. I had her for ten years. Named her Mitzi Von Fru Fru. She obviously came from somewhere were she had the finer things in life because she only wanted to drink bottled water and would freak out when we cooked lobster, her favorite food apparently. I felt bad such a high class lady ended up with our broke asses, but she loved us none the less.

Years ago, in a not so good neighbourhood, we were driving with my family when suddenly we saw a little kid in the middle of the route, we slowed down and drove by the side of the route. When we realized that the kid was just a big doll like five people stepped up from some bushes and started running toward us. Luckily our driver had good reflexes so we could get out of that situation. Remember, if you see something suspicious when driving just call the police, don't put yourself in danger.

Great story and tip - I stopped my car on the interstate late at night once - someone threw something in the road - after I was out of the car and started walking back to investigate a guy stepped out from behind one of the cars on the shoulder and told me I was brave to stop - I got back to my car fast and stopped at the nearest police station to report the whole thing.

I was scheduled to perform in DC and the limo driver took a last minute detour from the venue and made an unannounced 3am stop in front of a project. He hopped out and left me there alone when I noticed a baby on the corner. I was scared because of the Ol Baby On the Corner trick, so I cracked the window and yelled "Hey baby, baby go home it's 3 O'Clock in the morning, what are you doing out?". The baby said "Im selling weed!" So I had to buy 2 bags to calm my nerves. True story.

Those google searches that she did speak volumes. I don’t think she was mentally unstable, I believe she knew exactly what she was doing. This whole incident is pitiful. She had so many people searching for her, praying for her and worried about her!! Some people never cease to amaze me!! There are people who are REALLY kidnapped and needing help yet she thought it would be a great idea to lead everyone on a massive search for her when she wasn’t even missing 😡

It's definitely a hoax , the fact she stopped near an exit after travelling for some time on the hard shoulder shows she knew where to stop , you can't see a child from where she move onto the hard shoulder and put her hazards on. She had most likely planned this out , acted like she saw a child, phoned someone to pretend to talk to a child , then exited and had someone pick her up in the neighbourhood the other side of the hedges. If they found her wondering around the neighborhood confused then I would say it was mental health, the fact she disappeared quickly means someone was waiting inba car for her , and NOT a kidnapper , someone she knew. It's 100% a hoax

I have to agree with you, working 20 years in a busy west side ER showed me just how nuts the people up in Psych are themselves! We'd get people calmed down and coherent, and here they would come and get them all riled up again so they could paper them upstairs. I made the huge mistake of renting a townhouse from one of the psych nurses who worked at the same hospital as me. She would come into my place when I was at work and look around, eat my food, watch TV etc. I finally caught her with her bf having sex in my bed, one of my friends had been sitting outside watching my place for me because I knew someone had been going in while I wasn't there. Friend went to the payphone and called me (early 90s back then lol) and I left work. Opened my door quietly and flipped on the light in my bedroom, my friend was with me and saw everything. Needless to say I broke the lease and told her not to even think about trying to take me to court over it! Never heard from her again. Found out later on from one of her coworkers that she was bipolar, and had left for an "extended break for unknown reasons", at the same time we busted her in my bed.

What should have occurred was her beginning to slow shortly after passing the child, then slowly backing up to it's location. Her behavior is completely inconsistent with her description of events.

Unless she passed and took the exit to loop back around..... she was on shoulder for quarter a mile so would have had to see 30 inch or less kid from 4 tenths a mile away in dark with all that tail light glare. Plus I would stop with headlights pointing at kid and walked in front of car to grab it in the headlights. She went around back of car. Unless kid ran up to passenger side of car before she got out. If she did have a mental health episode, technically that would be the best scenario. While the situation is horribly frightening, she is now home safe and hopefully able to treat and manage any illness with the love and support of her numerous friends and family. If she didn't have a mental illness episode, that means there is a violent kidnapper on the loose that uses a small child to lure victims in. She's a beautiful young woman with a bright future. I think Carlee suffers from Smollett Syndrome. By the way, for as much as people want to feel sorry for Carlee, there are some other details floating around about a possible 17 year old she was having a secret affair with, outside of her boyfriend's knowledge. If that is the case, the elaborate hoax and a visit to the Red Roof Inn would make tons of sense. Gossip today, KZbin tomorrow.

If the person doesn't realise its a false report for example if they hallucinated or were led to believe the situation was real when infact they just misinterpreted the scenario they won't charge them however if the person intentionally made a false report for nefarious reason they can be charged but police don't always choose to press charges for it it's in their discretion.

I’ve been anxiously awaiting your video on this case. Hearing about this story scared all of us. We know that we’d want to help if we saw a child alone. I was praying for her safe return and was happy that she was reunited with her family. As hours ticked on I began to have questions and scrolled twitter to see if I was alone in my scrutiny. The story doesn’t make sense but I’m waiting to see updates. In the event that this was a hoax, her character will be crucified more than it is now. As a BW, some disappearances don’t make national news with search parties and rewards and to see how the nation came together to help was beautiful. We will see how this plays out in the next several days and weeks

Something had to have happened for her not to want to come home after work that night, could she have lost her job and didn’t want to face her parents? Did she have struggles in school and didn’t feel like she could let her parents know? Seems like she had gotten herself into something and she panicked and out of desperation decided to just disappear, maybe she saw the coverage on the news and decided let me go home, She was definitely trying to get away from something and it wasn’t a “kidnapper”

All setup with items left behind, a burner phone, 2nd hand purse with limited contents, a unwanted weave. Then a made up story to gain attention/fame and money. Hopefully enough to pay off the Mercedes loan. We are now living in a era of people trying to get attention anyway possible.

I have another theory. She was on drugs & really believed she saw a baby, so she calls 911. She hangs up & calls her family member whatever & tells them. They say OMG you are messed up, driving, calling police about babies on the interstate... girl you are about to be arrested. So she runs into woods & family member picks her up. Blah blah blah

I really think that this was a psychotic break. My daughter fought Schizoaffective Disorder and she had hallucinations. Maybe this young woman had an episode and the family doesn’t want it blasted out to the world yet, which is why we have yet to hear anything else. My daughter would leave her car running, door wide open, keys and phone in the vehicle and have no idea what happened. Luckily the car was only in the driveway and we had to take the keys away from her. Sometimes she’d disappear on foot and leave our front door wide open. It is terrifying because if she put her phone down.. that’s it. I had no idea where I could find her. I lost my daughter to suicide on 6/1/2021. I think of her every single day. But I also understand what led her to the decision to leave. Her mind was tormenting her. She fought for 3 years. Meds and hospitalizations were not enough. And boy did she try several medications. Invega injection was the one that helped the most but each patient is different. It’s not a cookie cutter solution for everyone. I don’t think this story is a hoax…stranger things have happened. Everyone freaked out over Elisa Lam, the girl who was found dead in a water tank at Hotel Cecil in LA. She went off her meds and was acting so odd on that security footage. The hotel was not haunted. She was hallucinating in an episode. I hope she gets proper care and the right medication. I’m not explaining it to you Dr G.! You’re the BOSS!! (I hope I did A-okay though.)
