considering animation is a lengthy process that requires lots of time, it would be really hard for any animators to dedicate this much time to a project they arent being paid to do. especially if they could take other projects to do in that time instead that would help them pay their bills. its a bit harder to be a no-name animator and pass up a paycheck than a wealthy celebrity who has to sing a couple lines and will get good press for helping charity. idk for sure though, but i highly doubt the animators agreed to do this for free.

Here's a fun fact for you: Leaded gas is still used in most 3rd world and developing nations and most of their cars do not have anything approaching modern emmisions equipment, leaded gasoline is extremely destructive to the environment.
