I love this idea of all wooden toys that are so versatile, when I was younger I had a load of doll houses and dolls and cars. This seems such a fun area to play in, I sure even now at 15 I could find entertainment for hours.

Love your Ostheimer collection!. Ive compared Ostheimer with Holztiger online and I will soon start my very own Ostheimer animal collection for my daughter who is 9 months. I would love to hear your story (possibly another video) on the choice to go with Ostheimer vs Holztiger (although, I did see dinosaurs) and how long you started collecting and hear your children preferences on pieces etc.

Such a lovely collection, thanks for sharing it with us. We have a Bunny Burrow coming from YesBebe, can’t wait! Particularly liked the photos you inserted of the various setups.

I was a bit cheeky with the burrow and was lucky enough to get mine a bit earlier 🙈. Perks of being so close to Coventry and seeing Charlotte 😅😬.

Omg I was just watching your older toy collection /tour and thinking that I should comment and ask you to do an updated one and then I finished the video and this one had been posted! Yay! Love your videos and the types of toys you have for Riley!! So inspiring!!

Thank you...I only just fell into the rabbit hole of these toys about a year and a half ago 😳🙈. It’s been great though and I really find it nicer to have them around then to be surrounded by all the plastic and lights and sounds. It’s hard to explain but it doesn’t stress me out the same - so I can only imagine the impact the difference makes for Riley as well 🤗

Attached Mummy absolutely know what you mean. I have a brand new 3 year old as of 2 weeks ago, and a 20 month old and honestly they play so much better and for longer now and seem to love the wooden/open ended way more! I wish I had started it when they were babies. They’re also beautiful and will last long enough for their kids to have!

Thanks for making this video. My wife and I are now investing in some wooden toys for our 19-month old. Unfortunately many of your links are now broken/obsolete. Do you have any other tips on how to find the "Girl In The Wind" figure?

Love it. Just watched your older playroom tour. Where is the shelf for your animals from? Love the different ways you have used it.
@DianaMcNeill5 жыл бұрын
Thank you, the shelf actually came with my daughters play stand, brand is bio-kinder but it’s very similar to a slim shelf on it’s side (think bathroom shelving or even maybe a DVD shelf...). Would probably even be easy to make something similar 🤗

Hi! It’s actually a piece that goes with our playstand - the brand is bio kinder and it’s called the shop element for Anna shelves.

Also can you tell me more about where to find the Bryn Dubois (spelling?) toys? I googled and can’t seem to find them.
@DianaMcNeill5 жыл бұрын
It’s Brin d’Bois - a French brand 🤗. I’m in the U.K., so I buy from yesbebe.co.uk but not sure where to purchase elsewhere (they do ship worldwide, but depends where you are from if something else may be easier for you 🤗)

Attached Mummy thanks, I’ll look for them! Also I’m sahmsquad in instagram. I think you follow me on there. (Which felt like a celebrity followed me when that happened! Haha!)

It’s gorgeous...and you have such a large space to fill 😇🤪. I want more but it is a bit pricier that’s why it’s just the random few pieces.

Hello I live in a small apartment 850sq ft I also have three children and one on the way. My son has his own room and my three girl will share a room together. I have wanted to follow Montessori and Waldorf since my oldest was a toddler however I stopped pursuing becausethe toys are expensive. My kids are 6,4,2, and one die next month. I realize I need to bring my kids toys out because they are hidden in their toy bins

Do you know of a place online that sells that mosaic spinning top puzzle to the US? My son saw that in your video and keeps asking about it ☺️ and love the Amigurumi turtle. I make them too...I love to crochet! I’ve basically made a zoo for my son 😂
@DianaMcNeill5 жыл бұрын
I’m honestly not sure - yesbebe.co.uk does ship to the US but you would have to message them for a shipping quote as I have no idea what it would be. If you wanted to have search online for a US seller it’s by Grimms and called a Goethe Top (the confusing bit is that different online stores call it different things - I think because they are all translating from German 🤷🏻♀️)

An online store www.thewoodenwagon.com has it in black/white but sold out on the colored one. Im hoping to get one for my son as well

I remember when I was in denial about my toy collection. When they get to 10 though you’re cover gets blown. Might as well come clean now girlfriend.
@DianaMcNeill5 жыл бұрын
Lol I am very aware that many of her toys are as much for me as for her. Honestly she is more then happy with plastic toys but I try and avoid them (even second hand) as they bring a feeling of chaos into the house that I don’t feel with the wooden toys (totally a mental thing for me 😅). I’ve said many time’s that her Ostheimer collection is mine when she grows up 🤣.

It's too excessive for one kid. I don't mean to criticize, and I absolutely loveee your collection/and attunement to play. But having the maximum amount of minimalist toys completely defeats the purpose. Maybe if you had your own she-shed where you could rotate most of these out, so your daughter could get efficient use out of them, but in the end I don't see one child really loving these gorgeous pieces as much as she could if she has so many.
