FR!) Again AAK's like to ensure that their siblings get a whooping!! Smh LMFAO fr Caucasian 3yr old: might turn head after hearing initial splash of water then think "have fun dude you'll be in there by yourself bc I am NOT stopping MY game!". Again NOT realizing sibling is drowning! Mexican 3yr old: as soon as she sees sibling is in THERE (now there'll probably be some hope for drowning sib) bc this 3 yrs old sib is going straight to the closest parent to tell that either sister is in the water with her Cinderella dress 👗 or baby bro is in the water with his fresh Dickies and kicks on!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOW I admit that WAS funny!! Swear to our Father I could not help THIS one!!! Y'all KNOW it was funny too but more importantly it IS A JOKE 🤣😂🤣😂

I'm leaving this here... “When people are drowning, all of their energy is going into trying to breathe and staying above water,” says Shelley Dalke, Director, Swimming and Water Safety Programs for the Canadian Red Cross. “They are not yelling for help or waving their hands around. Drowning is often very silent.” Children who cannot lift their face out of the water can drown in just a few centimetres. And many children who drown never intended to be in the water in the first place. Some people with limited or no swimming ability, may disappear underwater in less than a few seconds without any clear sign of distress.

Yes. Growing up my grandfather would teach me that. Stay calm. Always secure your exit strategy, be it your phone 📱 or car or anything as you go. Don't just trust anyone. It was really dangerous where I was. When something similar happened I tossed my phone 📱 and kept my backup. It was in a ziplock bag and airtight. I dove for my sibling with the nearest rope of the Jetty. We lived near the beach and she took her floatie out to swim as the tide ebbed after rains. Crocodiles in the water and I swam desperately for her. Thankfully she barely made it past the wharf area in the bay. There are metal rails for climbing up and down there, for the big ships and tug boats. I took her out of the floaty and into my shirt then I cut the rope I was Anchoring with after I grabbed the rails. Tied her and I together and climbed up. Our house was on the opposite side. We climbed up. I found the station but not before calling for help. The phone 📱 I had was an old Motorola. She was so excited she went on a little trip. A Chinese man who knew us because we frequented his restaurant was there to get his shipping signed off and freaked, help came, we had to get my sister dry and we wrapped her in his huge scarf while she giggled and told uncle about her boat (floatie) but there were Actually some guys there that saw the whole thing and didn't care to do anything. That day Mum was feeling sick, grandma was caring for her after her recent pregnancy. My sister was watching the little one while I was cooking and grandpa went downstairs and out to get the mop from outside. She saw the door open and went out while my sister was cleaning the room after making sure the little ones were sleeping. Dad was still at work at the time and I noticed because the dogs were barking and one of the dogs was at the Jetty barking and running to me. Went to throw out rubbish from food prep in the garden and that's when I saw her little pink floatie in the water already about to be halfway far into the bay. When help came we realised I had a bite mark on my back calf. I almost collapsed after handing her off to dad. He worked in the town, the side of the bay we drifted to. If that Chinese man was not there... We definitely would have been kidnapped. He also risked his life and his chef's life to make sure a huge commotion about it. I was so glad I yelled that my phone 📱 worked and dad was coming with the ambulance and police. He also called my dad and told him more of what happened. For a brief moment I had thought I'd need to brave the cliffy grass area and make my way to the tug boat stationed nearby. Steal that dingy nearby and leave but I saw him in time because if I had done that, I'd be in a remote area and I could have truly been taken. At the time a ship, Dulos, a missions ship was there also so it was most likely why the men watches but didn't do anything. Some of the people visiting ran down and helped with first aid. I was 11 and my sister was 5. She was a cute and happy little girl who was almost abducted 3 times prior. I was terrified she would spend the rest of her short life crying and far from mum or anyone that loved her. My grandfather actually arrived in the neighbours little boat ⛵ soon enough when he saw my phone 📱 lying there towards the water. He said the binoculars helped him see us on the wharf and he told the neighbour. My sister still has the scarf and chef's hat, the chef couldn't say no. She's still adorable and happy. I always think no one remembers these stories but once in a while one of my siblings or cousins will tell me they remember something I did, especially on my birthday 🥺❤️ my sister told me she remembers me talking to her and playing with her cheeks while I dried her. She remembers trying to say sorry but she remembers that I was a big big ship and the pukpuk didn't get her because my propellers hit it. (Basically I kicked the crocodile 🙈 but was too busy to notice) Got to secure your way out. Have to be level headed at all times. Although maybe he had relatives inside or neighbours nearby too. 🥳

When we got the pool, we had the stairs to get in with the gate door on them with a lock. We grabbed an alarm that you float in the pool & if anything over a few lbs falls in, it goes off, & they were never to be outside without an adult. This happened with my mother when I was 5 years old. My mother could not swim. She went in the pool and unbeknownst to her, it went from shallow to deep very quickly, a private pool. I was sitting on the side, while everyone else was out of the pool eating, talking, etc, and I saw her go under and she kept trying to come to the top. I yelled "my mommy's stuck under the water" & her sister who can swim very well, ran and jumped in and saved her 💕💕💕

Something similar happened to my older sister at our parents' friend's pool. My sister was walking in the pool and ended up in the deep end. My mom noticed but was in shock and could only point at the pool. Thankfully her friend realized what was happening so she quickly jumped in and pulled my sister out.

One of the houses my uncle owns had a pool. He did not like it, but our family told him to keep it because we thought tenants would love it. The tenants had a pool party and a child drowned. There were 25+ adults and at least 20 kids around and in the pool when it happened. We do not have a pool, but I always tell people the lesson I’ve learned: Being there is not enough. You have to keep your eyes on the kids too. It was no one’s fault, but everyone felt comfortable because there were so many adults. Don’t get too comfortable and keep watching your kids, because just like that, they could be gone. He has since done away with the pool at that house, but he is left with the trauma, and also, I feel like he secretly blames some family members because his instinct was to cover the pool originally. We obviously did not know this would happen though, and are truly sorry.
