Creating beauty and feeling joy has become my purpose in life, my personal mission statement, something to motivate me to action when I wake up in the morning. I know I’m still just trying to fill the void that haunts me when I get lazy, leading to feeling guilty, worthless and perpetuates a downward spiral. I want my time on earth to be fun! Maybe someday I’ll be able to find others to connect and share joy with but for now I am making this happen for myself, one day at a time, one thought at a time, one Todd Perelmuter video at a time.🙏 Love you Todd❤️

Me too.!!! I'm suffering so hard now with stress, anxiety, insomnia,.. and severe depression. Im unable to accept the consequences. I have so much guilt, regret and self blame. If I can find away... to heal, and look at life, somehow differently than I do... im so like you in that dark place,... I don't like life anymore. Even when I tried to enjoy a hobby or activity I used to enjoy.... there's no longer is pleasure ... 🙏for us T.Y. and I hope you find happiness 👍

Perfect timing for me. I’m in the void following a spiritual awakening and have recently had two dark lows where I have questioned life’s meaning. I feel like I’m more easily moving into and staying in soul, which helps tremendously, but sometimes still wonder what’s the point of all of this. I just want to sell all of my belongings and live off the grid some days. I love the reminder to stop SEARCHING for meaning. Needed that!

It's so simple and yet so complex, we live to die and die to live, we matter and don't matter, the truth is ugly, beautiful ,hard, soft, positive and negative. Best wishes everyone! Xoxo!❤❤❤

Thank you Todd. In this video, I felt like my eyes were closed, you showed me the path and I began to see. The vision for me was hard to keep hold of at times, as if we were walking thru the wardrobe as in the Chronicles of Narnia. I want to go back there and stay.💖 You and your ability are amazing. Wow...🕯🙏🏻💞

I have heard so many people throughout my life say that the purpose and meaning to life is to help others. I believe that to be a truth. I love to smile and visit with strangers when I'm out of the house. Sometimes I give a homeless person a few dollars. Sometimes I give a meal or some goodies to friends or neighbors. I don't feel like that is enough but I seem to be unwilling to put in any more time and effort towards that, and yet I feel guilty that I'm not doing more.

yes, what we always only want is love. i don't want to go without having touched a little bit. we have to stop to search outside of us, it is all inside if we want to see it. this is a hard process if we don't want it from ourselves.

I do believe in meaning but as an attribute we give. Naming something is giving meaning. It exists as any other but it is not attached to matter.

I'm definitely a nihilist but I don't see it as a negative outlook. Life has no meaning in and of itself, it is what it is and that's okay. I try to find meaning in life, although I find it difficult I admit, seems quite pointless in my humble opinion. My creation process seems like more of a distraction than a purpose, even though I've been born with really good skill in art. Hopefully in time I will find deep meaning in these things and in more also, but thanks for the video, it helped me think through nihilism further. Especially the part about creation over consumption.
@grahammartin7777 Жыл бұрын
creation and consumption are just part of human life...whatever is created will eventually decay or be destroyed.

I had a cat or he had me. This cat was so strange, with evil green eyes, he was so brave, but at the same time, he was nice, full of love. He was happy, but he needed freedom. And he was inside house, outside house. He was doing what he want. Before he died, he watched me with his eyes and I said to him like you can go now. And he died. Do you know who we are?

We have a dog. He looks like an evil production facility of testosterone, but he mostly behaves like a lovely little puppy. He uses his strength what it was made for. There is a lot that I can learn from him. Being in the moment! Staying calm and strong!

So what's the point of creating meaning out of meaninglessness? I guess it's just to feel better really. We all just want to feel better.
@adriancaldwell Жыл бұрын
I’d love guidance on the grey areas. What is materialistic and consumptive and what is meaningful and spiritual. If I buy a new flashy car is that superficial or if I love driving that much the beautiful aesthetic of the car and the travel is that a bad thing? When is a sensory pleasure hedonistic and when is it simply a beautiful experience?
@ToddPerelmuter Жыл бұрын
Great question. All answers come from a deep place of mindfulness. If you are fully mindful, mindful of your own desires, mindful of the environmental and economic and social impact of your choices and you are fully aware of every facet of this decision, then you will know if it's coming from a place of conditioning, ego, or it is a decision in alignment with your intentions and your greatest good

I find satisfaction when I teach a person how they can achieve optimal physical, spiritual and emotional well being just by eliminating carbohydrates from their diet. Like Truth Realization, though, it requires liberation, via inquiry, from all the false conditioning many of us have been programmed with since birth. (False information like cholesterol is bad, red meat is bad, salt is bad, saturated fat is bad. When in fact, the opposite is true.)

There's nothing for me here. I don't care about anything anymore. I don't want to be here. Meditation for 10 years is not the life I want. I don't see joy in anything. This all meaningless. There is no love or happiness in me. Nowhere. I'm done. Goodbye.
