TX has screw in on Mekibo. I just ordered a few and they are sick. Hardly needed to tweak anything. Nice build though. I've been wanting to do an acrylic case myself for a while. came out great!

if you really want to build this exact keyboard, then i would recommend to reconsider getting the bt65 pcb, as it's not that easy to getting into zmk (program, where you can change rgb, keys, etc.) but if you don't mind about the purple rgb and don't remap keys, then it's ok ig. also the tofu65 acrylic is almost sold out everywhere, but maybe kbdfans will make an acrylic case of the new tofu version

if you like rgb, then i would reconsider getting the bt65 pcb, it is nice you can use it wireless as well, but i still haven't figured out how to change/edit the lights :c zmk is quite confusing, i think there is another pcb with similar features, but idk the name :c

(ALSO I LOVE THE SOYMILK KEYCAPS THEY'RE ONE OF MY FAV SET THANKS FOR USING THEM LOL) btw I have a question about stabilisers- no matter how many mods I do or how many times I lube it, my stabs still tick like crazy, and I have no idea how to fix it! From all your kb vids I have seen that ur stabs are very good, and I was wondering if you have any tips on how to make them sound better. Thank you so much!

tysm! to be brutally honest, stabs are my nemesis until this day! i HATE modding them, because even though i put in blood sweat and tears, they start ticking after a while... and it's so frustrating! so i totally get how you feel ;-; i am pretty good with such fiddly tasks, so i really wonder how other keeb YTber don't have such struggle.. i tried three different lubes for the wires and so far the most expensive krytox xht bdz works the best 😭 but i still struggle with ticking. i really don't get how ppl get their wires straight, bc mine are sometimes bend like a banana, the worst bend was on my spacebar wire on TX stabs!!! i really don't the hype until this day, none of the stabs i tried wowed me. besides, sometimes the wires are bend in the weirdest way that i'm not even sure how to get them straight (for example they thick on both sides). I think the trick is really to get the wire straight, i don't think that there is another solution. holee mod might help, but doesn't work on every stab. So i don't have a general advice, i'm so sorry!! :c

Lovely underglow! Hard to beat Tofu when it comes to the most beautiful acrylic keyboard category. But I agree that the weight design of the 65 is underwhelming. Which is why I was thinking I should get Tofu 60 acrylic or wait for the release of V2 acrylic version!

hard to tell that as everyone is different, but i would say that the build process of the tofu65 is quite easy for a beginner! what takes a little bit of practice is modding the stabilizers

Out of all the keycaps you have tried, do you have a favorite? Which ones have the deepest sounds?

love my qk75 and zoom65 and use both the most. deepest is my qk65 i think, but keep in mind that you can archive a deep sound by combining certain configs of components. so often times it's not just the case/keyboard which creates a certain sound, it's the hole config and mods

hey~ best way is to order some at your regional keyboard vendor. Ooh I love the gentle, next-room-over typing sound! I might try this on my next build, even though I love the half-muted sound from my halo65 with its baby kangaroos. It's not toooo bright, but hearing the soft murmurs of this one is so soothing! Btw, can you please enlighten me as to that O ring mod? I haven't seen that before. How's it work, what's it do?!

agree, the tofu sound is just so soothing~ i first saw the o-ring mod on keyboreds (scott k) yt channel. he used it on his alu tofu. it is commonly used to get a softer and quieter sound and feel on keyboards with tray mounted pcbs. the o-rings create a cushioning layer between the screw points of the pcb and case, therefore resulting in a quieter and less harsh sound and feel

nope ;-; i was looking into it one day, i would never guessed that it would be that difficult :c i mean i might could have put in more effort and time into it, but still it was too hard and i was like "well purple is not that bad ig" (rgb is purple by default) 😅

what is via/qmk? is it a big issue?

these are software, for remapping keys, you can still do this with the bt65, but it's just a lot more complex and complicated to do so, compared to qmk and via. if you never intent to remap keys, or need to bind specific controls, then it's not a big issue. i am also not sure if there are all controls for the rgb already premapped on the pcb, i don't think that you can control the brightness by default.
