I haven't had spritz cookies in forever! And they are one of my favorite cookies. These days bakeries just make the big fancy cookies if they make cookies at all. Thank you! :)

I absolutely Love the way you did this! Bravo! I have so many Spritz cookie Recipes and ended up with a cookie press I gave away due to the difficulty and ( pain in the a#$e cleaning and forcing the dough through it)! The very simple way you piped the dough onto your sheet and cut it after baking was pure Genius! Absolutely Marvelous

Thanks. Full disclosure, piping this dough takes some elbow grease, because it’s a pretty stiff dough.

A large counter is helpful to put everything working arm’s reach, but you don’t need it to make these, as long as you have enough to rub the dough.

I really enjoyed watching you make these cookies. I held my breath for a moment because I thought you might flip the dough off the counter towards the end 😳 I heard that crunch as soon as you took a bite. I would love to try to make these. They looked so delicious. Thank you for making these great videos for us

What do you typically use instead of sugar? Maybe I’ll work on developing a gluten free / sugar free version, and record it.

Je kunt ook je deeg in deze volgorde maken in de keukenmachine. Als laatste stap stort je dan je deeg op het aanrechtblad en begin je met het wrijven van de deeg. Dan zul je ook merken dat de structuur en kleur verandert en heb je een wrijfdeeg dat je vervolgens met de spuitzak kunt opspuiten tot spritsen. Dan heb je wrijfdeeg en minder rotzooi op je werkbank/aanrecht. Het deeg van je handen/vingers krijgen gaat het beste met een beetje bloem waarmee je als het ware je handen wast.

Hi Toine. Thank you for the recipe. I wonder if I can use my mixer to “rub” the dough, does it affect the texture of the dough? Thinking of baking the cookies for Eid😊. Thanks again.

You can use the paddle attachment to put the dough together. It will affect the texture… I have read that you can do the rubbing for a minute after you mix it in the mixer to get the texture the same.

I was going to ask the same question. I have arthritis but I want to try your recipe, so I’ll take your advice and work it on the counter after I take it from the mixer. Good to see you again Toine and than you for sharing!

If you need to, ladies have longer nails, can you wear nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean?

Yes, just make sure they don’t have any powder on / in it. You may lose some sense to feel if the dough is creamy.
