Shikigami are described as curses(so all shikigami should just be tamed curses) but some of them can still output pure positive energy which doesn't make sense since it should be toxic to them.

Shikigami's are made out of the material used to summon them, and not CE/PE. If she it a 100% for sure a Shikigami, she's most likely made out of Yuta's hair (seems to be his go to when "creating" Shikigami). I don't remember a feat that confirms one or the other, but if you remember the chapter I'm interested since it will end the debate.

"He uses the shadow as a medium rather than a tailsman", so the shikigami already exists and shadows, hair or a tailsman are just a medium to summon them.

A medium "the intervening substance through which sensory impressions are conveyed or physical forces are transmitted.", the shadow is in this regard the exact same as that seance guy. Toji is summoned through his body, but he is still made out of his body and will break eventually because of that. The 10 shadow are made of said shadow aswell, and it's easier to see it in the domain expansion.

Mahoraga intially only uses reverse CE, but as it fights sukuna it changes to start using CE because sukuna is not a curse. Also the simpler the technique the easier it is for mahoraga to adapt. Dismantle and cleave got adapted so fast because while they are strong they are not as complex as the limitless technique. Yuta's bag is too unknown to know if he would win. Also yuji in my opinion is a very valid witness to 15 finger sukuna's strength since he has all the memories from shibuya. So he should recall 15f sukuna for mahoraga and still thinks yuta is strong enough to handle both. Entrusting yuta to kill him if sukuna took control of his body at 15f and supporting yuta going to fight mahoraga and agito. So in story he should be able to win, but in terms of feats he hasn't shown how he would win.

When he uses dismantle and mahoraga parries it, he was literally aiming for the head to decapitate mahoraga(something he never did against jogo when he was actually holding back). He then used his domain expansion and limited the range which we know from his fight with gojo actually makes his slashes stronger. So his slashes were buffed not nerfed but he then figures out mahoraga's ability and realizes he needs to kill it in one go. So far the only attack with enough AP to do that was the fire arrow (gege even says the fire arrow is the most destructive technique sukuna has shown). He couldn't use his original form because he was at 15 fingers, and that is the sukuna that fought mahoraga. He also didn't use any cursed tools because he didn't have them. (I also don't think cursed tools count as his strength since technically anyone can use a cursed tool, someone like gojo who is the leader of his clan will also have access to a bunch of special grade tools from his clan. That doesn't really affect your proficiency as a sorcerer since the next person can as easily use the tool).

On the idea that he starts with a domain of course so mahoraga doesn't adapt. Yuta has insane but less-than-Sukuna cursed energy normally, but once he puts on the ring his energy becomes "boundless" for 5 minutes, aka infinite. At that point Rika can't be exorcised by reverse cursed energy anymore, because there isn't an amount capable of matching her. I think that's what Gojo meant when he said she "can't be exorcised," because prior to JJK 0's finale Rika had that infinite energy on all of the time. But since post-JJK 0 Yuta can only have infinite energy for 5 minutes, the question becomes "can Yuta & Rika with infinite energy beat Mahoraga in 5 minutes." At that point Mahoraga will have adapted at least once, Rika will be vulnerable, and Yuta will be back on low energy. But any fight with Mahoraga is already a timed battle, so it isn't a major speed bump or anything.

Also he punched them in training. Not only were they likely worse at controlling cursed energy (for Yuta this would have been over a year ago at least since he was in Africa) they also probably didn't know Gojo could even do that. Also, forcing them to puke isn't one-tapping them in a real fight. It's training, and Gojo is their teacher not their enemy.

Ppl seem to think that Yuta showcased all his abilities in his fight with Ryu and Uro. We should note that Gege only showed us abilities of Yuta that we are familiar with so as to surprise us later. He didn't use anything unfamiliar so as not to reveal his techniques just like Kenjaku didn't want to reveal his techniques (whereas only wanting to use cursed spirit manipulation). Also, he didn't use any techniques that would one shot Uro and Ryu cos he needed the points. I honestly think Yuta can take Mahoraga out, he just needs two very destructive techniques and I bet he has some in his arsenal. I also think he must've copied Ryu's cursed energy blast. Now can that blast take out Mahoraga? Well, with what we saw in the trio fight, probably not. However, Ryu seemed to think that it should've taken Uro out in that last attack. I also don't think that his "Love blast" could do it. or at least as it was presented in the fight with Ryu. could Yuta have reduced the attack potency? Probably. There are many things we don't know bout Yuta. We don't know his arsenal of techniques and cursed tools, we don't know if he can copy cursed spirits techniques, if he can copy Mahoraga's adaptation (since Sukuna was able to analyze and replicate the dimension slash so I don't see why Yuta can't copy its adaptation), how many more Shikigamis can he summon (cos he was immediately able to copy and use Dhruv's shikigamis (ppl seem to think that the Dhruv's shikigami was harmless cos it was only cutting Uro forgetting that if it was that harmless, how did they end up in a four way deadlock and that Yuta wasn't trying to kill her) , has Rika become a Shikigami, can she use positive energy (i read the comments and pple were saying she used it in the movie but I don't think she did, it was Yuta that healed Maki and the rest, she just stored them inside her?pause), can she use some of the techniques stored in her, has Yuuta increased the time he can summon her (cos he must've trained with Gojo b4 the fight with Sukuna and he might've pointed something out cos we see that Yuji has something new up his sleeve literally), what's the interval between full manifestation, what can she do for him when not fully summoned and many other things. And more importantly, what are the conditions for copying a technique? Ppl seem to think that it's him having Rika eat an arm or something and that's laughable cos that statement was Ryu first time analysis of seeing Yuta wheras Kenjaku had already stated that Yuta copies techniques unconditionally and I'm pretty sure Kenjaku wouldn't have just stated that outta a whim cos he is very meticulous and i think he would know better. Besides, there are many reasons to think that couldn't be the case. He has Inumaki's technique (unless you're willing to say he had Rika bite off his arm), and he has Dhruv's technique and in the manga (only God knows what they'll add in the anime, Dhruv was cut down with all his limbs and Rika wasn't even present there (maybe behind the scenes). I also must point out that Yuta doesn't need Rika to copy techniques, he only uses her to store them. His own technique is mimicry so i think he can use it without Rika. We don't know how many techniques he has (or can keep) on himself without Rika. I'd say at least 2. Another thing is there's no reason to think he didn't copy Geto's technique during their fight. There wass plenty of opportunity to do so. Moreover, remember he fought in the previous exchange (prior to Geto's fight s1 ep14 @8 min 15sec) event with the current third years against the sister school (Kyoto high) so who's to say he hasn't copied Todo, Mai, Mechamaru (doubtful), Kamo etc and the third year's techniques. We shouldn't playoff the fact that he said he will handle the two shikigami (there was nothing to indicate that he would use his domain, he only talked bout sukuna's domain cos its an open barrier one and he could use it over and over). We should also not undermine Yuji's statements bout him being able to deal with Sukuna at 15 fingers and he encouraging Yuta to join the fight. many seem to think that Yuji didn't know what he was saying the first time forgetting that he had first person pov of Sukuna fighting Megumi's mahoraga and Gojo and he was also watching Gojo v Sukuna fight and still said he should join. He isn't too dumb to know what one can handle. Cos m pretty sure that b4 the fight, Yuji and Yuuta must've probably trained together and maybe seen what he could do. I also don't think Gojo saying Agito is too weak means that it wasnt on their level, it just meant that what it was doing in that fight wasn't adding much against Gojo. I do think Yuta can beat Sukuna's mahoraga, the problem is that Sukuna wouldn't allow that and as you pointed out, no one disputed that he could handle them, he just wanted to take a load off Gojo so he could focus on Sukuna cos Sukuna wasn't directly fighting Gojo but using the Shikigamis. As for the anime fight against mahoraga, mappa went hard. the added a lot. way too much if you ask me. They gave Mahoraga a lot of abilities and made him grow in size? They did a great job but i hope they keep the same level of consistency in the upcoming fights in the subsequent seasons. I just hope the directors and MAPPA are working with Gege to make sure everything is as he imagined and not them adding their own 2 cents. Don't come after me, this is my own take

Shikigami are made of CE to your last point in the video. Shikigami are described as "familiar curses conjured and controlled by jujutsu sorcerers". Some of them being able to output positive energy is either an inconsistency or lacks an explanation. Inumaki was able to smash Geto, a special grade sorcerer, into the ground with his command. Yuta would absolutely no-diff that same Inumaki if it were a no holds-barred fight. Since adaptation isn't a technique, the comment would be more relatable to "dont move" or something. Doesn't mean that Mahoraga wouldn't eventually adapt to snake eyes and fangs, but it would be incredibly effective in the short term.

The thing with Mahoraga is the adaptation is not immunity but just strong resistance. The more complex the technique, the longer and more spins it takes. It's gradual adaptation, it's gains resistance at the beginning of the adaptation and immunity once fully adapted, Sukuna killed Mahoraga before Maho fully adapted to Cleave/Dismantle. That's why Maho still got damaged by Sukunas domain expansion but not by Gojos or Yorozus domain. Gojo states it's gradual adaptation and not 0-100 binary and that's shown throughout Mahos different adaptations. Against Sukuna it got resistance to cleave/dismantle and was close to fully adapting. Agains Yorozu it completely adapted to liquid metal and when Yorozu combined the metal with a domain and turned it into a perfect sphere it still got one shot negated by Maho even tho the sphere had and infinitely small surface or whatever that was i forgot. Gojo's infinity and blue got negated completely, even to the point that blues gravity attraction didn't even affect Mahoraga. Since It didn't adapt fully to red (stated by Gojo when he talks about the adaptation not being a binary 0-100 and by Sukuna when saying he will have Maho adapt to red just in case) it only had resistance to it and because it had 0 adaptation for purple it just got one shot. It's shown that maho even goes beyond immunity once fully adapted as it doesn't stop adapting and continues finding other/better ways to counter an ability even coming up with the world cutting slash, an offensive ability against infinity going beyond just immunity and straight into offence/counters.

This fight is really about to what extent Mahoraga can adapt to Yuta's CTs. Every time Mahoraga has shown adaption it was upon contact with a technique as Sukuna explained, so techniques that don't necessarily require contact can continue to damage Mahoraga and those techniques would be, SKYM, CS, and Copy. Because SKYM doesn't attack the opponent directly, Cursed Speech is executed through just pure CE which doesn't give Mahoraga the ability to transmute his own CE, and Copy because domains are constructed through the user's Innate technique and Copy isn't something that Mahoraga can adapt to, even when he's inside which would mean he's basically stuck with an amped Yuta and Rika. Tho we don't know what Yuta's domain is but it's most likely the ability to use his copied CTs simultaneously, either way it doesn't change the fact that there's nothing to adapt to. So the scenario would go in a way where Yuta spams Mahoraga with CTs and damaging him with the help of amped Rika also attacking him and Yuta charging up Rika's blast as the final attack, which would be certainly enough especially when both are amped.

Question: Do we think Yuta could copy Mahoraga's adaptation if he could have Rika consume a part of it? As I understand it, Yuta's copy ability allows him to copy innate abilities by having Rika ingest a part of someone. Mahoraga's adaptation is an innate ability that presumably revolves around it changing the way its cursed energy works to better combat its opponents. I don't see why Yuta wouldn't be able to do it. I can't see it holding Maho indefinitely, but Yuta could conceivably give follow up commands that "Give it an out" to keep functioning, but in an impaired fashion. Unless he would need to maintain the command with CE output. Then he'd probably be better off doing nothing.

Yuta was fighting neck and neck against Ishigori, who got speed blitzed and one-shot by 15F Sukuna. Mahoraga took multiple slashes from Sukuna, physical attacks, his domain, and then only got finished off by a completely different cursed technique than the one he adapted to. I think there is not enough data to support or refute this claim. Yuta was ready to hop in and stop Mahoraga, fully aware of all its abilities at least from Yuji or Gojo. Also Yuta in Sendai didn't want to reveal any of his cards. It says he didn't want Uro and Ryu to see it but a part of me believes that he didn't want Kenjaku to know what he has stockpiled. The buildup to see Yuta and Hakaris limit isn't as big as the Gojo vs Sukuna buildup but is still present.

let me explain how mahoraga´s adaptation works since no one seems to know. after the gojo vs sukuna fight we see sukuna state that the way sukuna ended up wining is because he used mahoraga like a blueprint, adapting to gojo´s limitless and imitating whatever mahoraga did. after mahoraga first adaptation he changed the essence of his CE to be equal to gojo´s CE thus ignoring infinity, this was something sukuna could not imitate so he waited for the seccond adaptation, in wich mahoraga instead of attacking gojo he attacked the entire space around him to bipass infinity, this was something sukuna could imitate. so thanks to this we know that what the dharma wheel does is learn about the opponent CT and figure out ways to better fight them, then it gives that info to mahoraga. this explains the battle between sukuna and mahoraga in the shibuya incident, since first the sword of extermination was charged with RCT but after seeing that it was useless in sukuna because of sukuna not being a curse, it changed its energy into normal CE for a better match up against sukuna. it also explains why even after having "adapted" to sukuna´s dismantle mahoraga was still taking damage from it since mahoraga had only imitated sukuna´s CE and as we know from the fight between yuta and yuji vs sukuna, he can still take damage from its own CT, thats why mahoraga ended up adapting to slashes in general. so with that said mahoraga´s abilities are: absolute control over its CE. being able to use the CT of his summoner (once tamed by sukuna mahoraga shown to be able to use cleave). control of its body structure, properties and size to a certain degree. now, the abitities of the dharma wheel: progresively gain a better understanding of any phenomena it´s being exposed to. somehow it can inform mahoraga of virtually anything once it spins. it does not seem breakable by conventional means (gojo didn´t target it even though it was clearly exposed during most of the fight). mahoraga´s weaknesses: he cannot change his methods of fighting by himself. he does not seem to be able to be summoned in an unstable mode (sukuna never did it even though it erases the risk of the shikigami dying).

I think mahoraga doesnt specifically adapt to the ct, but it adapts to the phenomenon its hit with. I might be wrong, but that does explain why gojo still damaged it with red when blue was already adapted to and also deleted it with purple later. If its like this, then yuta is a looong looong day for mahoraga. He has many cursed tools, several ct's (he probably has ct's we dont even know he has), a domain, rika, and he has the powerfull beam in case he needs to one shot mahoraga. This is assuming mahoraga doesnt adapt to ct's tho.

We haven't seen everything that Yuta is capable of but based on statements and whats implied about him, I would say its fair that he beats the one in Shibuya and AT LEAST stalemates the one in the Gojo fight.

I think when they say Mahoraga adapts, it means it's either able to resist the damage more, or find a way to break a technique. For example, for cleave and dismantle, he -would have taken the most damage at the first hit and then subsequent hits would deal less and less damage. Whereas for infinity, blue, and red, although they are part of the same technique, the way they deal damage/function is different hence why Mahoraga had to deal with them individually. Moreover, as shown for infinity, he relays the knowledge he learned via adaptation to his user. The user can also use the adaptation or instruct Mahoraga to find another way to overcome the technique.

Would Mahoragas sword work on Rika? I was under the impression that Rika isnt actually even a curse anynore since shes just Yutas CT. Either way, I think Yutas ability to copy Curse Techniques is the big thinf here, he's got a unnamed amount of curse techniques and atleast 5 cursed weapons that he can utilize on Mahoraga to try and get the kill before he can adapt

Yuta win win this mid-high diff The most important thing to understand about Maghora is what makes him so formidable in a fight. The anime blurred the line heavily with this question. In the manga, Maghora was NOT walking through Malevot Shrine, or nearly relative to Sukuna. Let's get that very clear. This is the same thing that happened to Jogo versus Sukuna but to a greater extent. Before any adaptation, Maghora's durability actually scales nowhere. It never successfully tanked any of Sukuna’s attacks. The first dismantle cut through Maghora so badly it hit the wall behind him, and by the time sukuna understood the ability, maghora adapted all the way from not being able to tank a simple dismantle to surviving a malevolent shrine. If sukuna had popped the domain immediately, Maghora would have been annihilated. ( The most important thing to remember is that Sukuna went into this trying to observe Maghora bc he had an interest in Megumi ten ten-shadow technique. Not only does he imply that he isn’t trying, but in order to observe Maghora's works, Maghora needs to be alive. Sukuna was blatantly holding back against maghora. He was just having some fun. And seeing what he can do and what the potential is here.) The Narrator says that why to beat Maghora is to slaughter it with a new type of attack before it can adapt, which is what sukuna did. There are quite a few characters, like Jackpot Hakari for example one-dimensional in their fighting style. He mainly does punches and kicks, meaning he would probably struggle with putting Maghora for good. But Yuta is arguably one the best people to take on Maghora due to his insane versatility. Multiple different types of attacks. For example, Yuta can damage or immobilize Mahorga with curse speech and then attempt to annihilate him with a very strong different type of attack like the love beam stated slightly weaker to Ishigori’s granite blast, which is the highest output within the Cullen game and history as of the Edo period. Geto got absolutely destroyed by it, and the only reason there was anything left for him was because he was able to offset some damage with his own maximum uzumaki. Yuta can use another powerful Attack in his arsenal. The main things that carry Maghora when it comes to discussion regarding him is a lack of knowledge. If Yuta goes into this fight with zero Intel, and he is not as shrewd and analytical as Sukuna is, he will probably lose. But if he went into the fight knowing what he was going up against, he has the tools to defeat Maghora. Second, it takes time for Maghora to adapt to more complex curse technique
