More often than not Yuta is the sorcerer usually thrown into this situation but there is an equally powerful sorcerer who could help out and maybe swing things in the Protagonists favor. The bad timeline could have an even worse incident. If Megumi is the only one conscious, then he could wind up summoning Moharaga against Mahito. The only way to stop him would be for Sukuna to fight him, but he also won't be nearly as strong. Sukuna could wind up needing help from Yuji's friends to put an end to him. Not before Mahito gets his ass whooped of course. Either way, that could lead to a mass murder like the original timeline. Just spitballing here

At 16:12, when you said Sukuna wouldnt have a choice because when he made the chain vow he swore not to hurt anybody. He never went through with that chain vow. Yuji being the complete fool he is changed the conditions of the vow because he was arrogant, Sukuna is openly able to do as he wants when he takes control of Yuji. We learn that he does this in the manga when he’s fighting(spoiler character) in the manga. It’s a relatively recent development. It hasn’t been adapted into the anime. Yuta and Hakari mention than when Gojo trained them personally he used it on them. It made them both throw up. 😂

He can't. Enchain's vow prohitbits him from fighting, even if he took Megumi and ran away, Mahito will catch up 1 minute later, and it would be a waste of Enchain. Only way Sukuna can help here is if he takes over Megumi now (which would not go well as in 3 finger he is not taming Mahoraga and Yuki will exorcise him) or Heals Yuji in that 1 minute but that means the vow is gone he is stuck with Yuji.

Nanami also says clearly that he doesn't know anyone who can evade Kusakabe's auto attack barrage (including Gojo) + Kusakabe then successfully hits Sukuna (who just hit a black-flash on Maki) about dozen times with it - so not really seeing cursed spirit spam as a big issue. that said in charachter Geto seems to only use one or two Cursed Spirit at a time and Kenjaku actually kinda insults him for this low iq approach.
