+Saturn Star TL; DR - Read to understand. I estimated that the anime adapted barely 30% of part one; Tokyo Ghoul. Maybe a total of 66 chapters or so out of 143, and not even properly at that. It also heavily altered and flawed the plot, resulting in a 3rd canon season of any sort being impossible. This means that without an anime reboot, They can not adapt the sequel manga, Tokyo Ghoul: re properly, which is currently at 94 chapters. If theres a third season, it will be entirely anime original. Really, read the manga with the memory of the anime farthest from your mind so you can properly grip the story that the anime studio so heavily chopped for a quick buck. The tarot card foreshadowing and layers of plot and depth are something that the anime entirely shut out.

I cried so hard at the end of season two, but that was nothing compared to the dread i felt when I read the manga "death" scene....I didn't see it happen so there is always a way that he survived. I wish people read the manga. Not going to lie, I love the anime and it's my favorite anime but, Ishida did such an AMAZING job on the story and plot of Tokyo Ghoul. I understand that root A is suppose to be what Ishida originally planned to do with the manga, but I would Have LOVED to see the original story line of tokyo ghoul come to life in the anime. That aside, HIDE!!!! I miss you so much that it hurt!!! I swear, once Kaneki said he had the taste of blood in his mouth and we saw Hide lying still on the gound, I broke down! I was already starting to let tears fall when he said "Let's go home"!
