Tokyo, OIMACHI - A lively town in the center of Shinagawa City.

Oimachi Station is the first station from Shinagawa Station on the JR Keihin Tohoku Line, and you can also use the Tokyu Oimachi Line and Rinkai Line. Commercial facilities have developed greatly in front of Oimachi Station, and there are plenty of shops such as Hankyu Shokuhinkan, Ito-Yokado, and JR Atre, so it seems that there will be no trouble finding shops.
On the east side of the station is the vast JR Tokyo Rolling Stock Center, and on the north side is the Shinagawa Ward Office. The Shinagawa Ward Office is planning to build a new government building a little closer to Oimachi Station due to redevelopment.
Oimachi is likely to continue to develop as the center of Shinagawa Ward.
On the south side of Oimachi Station, a large shopping street and bar district have developed, and countless izakayas and bars are lined up in a lively atmosphere like a downtown area.
Oimachi is not a town that everyone goes to, but it is a town with a surprisingly large number of shops. I even got the impression that it has a unique economic zone that resembles another city, and it seems like a fun place to live, whether you are a family or a single person.

学生時分に住んでた。　もう数十年も昔の話。 就職して映画館で「時代屋の女房」観てたらなんか地形に見覚えが・・・。 毎日、その「時代屋」の前通ってたのに全く気付かなかった。 朝は時間に追われ、夜は「さて、どこでメシ食うか」しか頭になかったので。
