Man, you have a gift! You can create that "feeling" in your videos. Don't know how to describe it, but it makes me want to do more in my life, to explore, but also to appreciate what I have now (and where I am now). The way you filmed that park, so meditative, and what you said about the greatest conversation in our lives. Made me recall some great conversations that I had walking in completely different parks. Maybe even a small park in your home town can feel like Tokyo if you are there with the right person. Ha-ha. I still want to go to Japan, of course. Cheers! Thank you for the video!

@@DaveTrippin have not had to a chance to go through all your videos yet however could you recommend a good area to stay to reach these awesome places easily? Staying for a month. Going to book a couple nights and then just wing it.

The day my wife and I got married, we went down to Inokashira park to walk around and look at the cherry blossoms. I remember thinking the whole area was really hip and having just been married, had visions (delusions) about moving there and raising a family. I haven't been back since, but not for wanting. Anyway, another really well done video, Dave. Keep them coming.

Absolutely awesome Dave. I live in the far reaches of the Niigata countryside and quite simply never get the opportunity to visit Tokyo, this vid dragged me back kicking and screaming to why I love this incredible country in the first place and the urban pleasures that drew me here in the first place. thanks again!

Top notch editing, pacing and photography. We're going to Japan in a month and this made me even more excited to go. I've been to Tokyo before and you did a fantastic job of capturing it's energy and atmosphere, plus tipped me off to a couple or three places I haven't heard of, cheers, well done!

New subscriber, checking in! I was supposed to visit Japan for the first time last year, but ~something happened, I don't know what~ and it'll still be a li'l while for me yet. It was neat to see that your list included Shimokita and Yanaka, since they were already high on my own list! I bet now is a great time to visit that Shibuya viewing deck, with so few people out and about. I don't think I'm even allowed to cross the pond right now, though. Alas!

My favorite neighborhoods in Tokyo. Omotesando - A great, sophisticated town filled with a lot of designer stores and a few hidden bars that are great places to meet interesting people. Mejiro - Quiet town nestled between Ikebukuro and Shinjuku. Good place for a run or a bike ride. Ebisu - Very good restaurants and lots of places to check out at night time. Kabukicho - It's a nighttime district. Choose your bar wisely. Always good fun though. Kichijoji - As you said, Inokashira park is great.

I enjoyed your video very much, and I love Inokashira Park. I’m not sure going to Ueno Station will lead a visitor to Yoyogi Park, though. Ueno Park is there and very big.. Yoyogi Park is between Shinjuku and Shibuya (in Yoyogi).

You continue to surprise me with the quality of your content, and the effort you put into it. If I may ask a question (or two), do you know of any relaxing cafes or places to grab a cup of coffee and relax? I'm also curious, did you manually white balance or did your camera automatically compensate for the settings-- the shots all look to have really nice color across the board. On another note, I really enjoyed the occasional experimental cuts(like 5:09), it wasn't too frequent to be distracting, and I think it really helped solidify a style for the video. Thank you for producing such nice content!

For good coffee an easy recommend is the komeds coffee chain. As for the colour grading. I filmed in a flat picture profile called cine4 with a few extra tweaks to it borrowed from your tuber Christian mate grab. Then in post processing I colour correct each clip then added a lut. The lut as well is individually adjusted for each clip. It takes time. Thanks for the kind words and support man. Really appreciate you dropping by.
