Many KZbinrs only introduce high-end Japanese food such as super expensive sushi or A5 rank Japanese beef, but you two also introduce cheap street food like baked potatoes. I am Japanese, but I think this video is most useful for many foreign “regular travelers”.

Thank you so so much! We are budget travelers and work hard in the summer to save money so that we can go on our trips in the winter time when prices are more affordable! We do a lot of research but we spend hours every day walking streets and back allies and making notes of the places the locals like to eat at. Thanks for this amazing comment, it means the world to us!
Let me say it billion times. Your food choices are so good💯 Thank you for sharing your great experiences😊

Thank you so much comments like these truly do make our day and motivate us to continue to make our videos! Japan is obviously obviously one of our favorite places to visit and we actually think we might return again this winter!

You guys are killing meeeee!!! Everything looks amazing. I normally order frozen taiyaki from asian market and eat with whipped cream. It's so good. Mr. Donuts is always a 'must' place to stop by every time we visit Japan. As you notice, the sweet potatoes in Japan and here in the US are completely different, but I like both :) Can't wait your next video 💗

Couldn’t agree more that both are delicious. We could probably do an entire video on the different things they do I’m with sweet potatoes in Japan! Thanks 1 million for watching our video. We will definitely pick up some frozen taiyaki our next h-mart run!

What I like about Here's Good is they hit specific spots that you don't see on youtube and are gems. Pay attention to them, they know what they're doing.

Thanks so much for this awesome comment! We try our best to find some local hidden gems and we are very much budget travelers so we try to keep things affordable. We film a lot of places that don’t make it into the videos because we don’t like them🫣. Thanks for watching our delicious Journey! We will be back to Japan soon!

Thanks so much! We had a good time there but it was not our typical scene. It’s a place we will probably only visit once in Tokyo. Can you recommend any local shopping streets with good cheap food? We are probably headed back to Japan this winter!

Holy cow they were RIDICULOUS! We are usually too cheap to spring the big bucks on fruit but it was totally worth it! Next up expensive grapes😂

Tokyo has some amazing street food! It's always changing too. Like 20 years ago, there was a boom of kebab trucks everywhere. I had a couple of favorites, some of the best Kebab and Falafel I've ever had. Then I think somebody messed it up and the govt had to crack down on the trucks and so now those are all gone. I like the little places that open up at night where you can just sit on a milk crate, have a few of sticks of yakitori and a beer for like 500 yen and then move on. Curry-pan. Just a big ole bun stuffed with Japanese curry. Not spicy, but just savory and nice! That Apple pie custard pastry looked really good too though. (Ringo means 'apple') Summer festival food! Yakisoba stalls and dango and kakigori shaved ice!

Thank you so much. This is an awesome comment and we will keep our eyes out for these foods! We tried curry pan in Miyajima that was excellent, but unfortunately, we weren’t recording for KZbin that day. We also had some of their famous oysters that blew our minds. We will keep our eyes peeled for the yakitori cart sitting on a milk crate and drinking a beer is 100% our favorite thing to do. Thanks for thiscomment! more to come in the future we

Not really surprising, but Japanese sweet potatoes are so sweet that you can actually see the caramelized starch on the potato

They are freaking amazing totally worth the hype. We didn’t include them in this video but we had some cool sweet potato chips that were extra long. They were delicious. Next time we will try a crème brûlée sweet potato.
Love your video style. Gives me such inspiration to try things when I visit

So its settled Japan has the best Strawberries in the world...lol. They look delicious. Crazy delicious Sweet Potato's as well...LOL

We didn’t believe the strawberries could be so good and worth the extra money, but man we’re we wrong!
High-end fruits are a regular part of meals for the wealthy, but for ordinary ppl, they're gifts. It's common to give them to the sick or elderly as a way of saying "stay healthy."

How cool! Thank you so much for this neat lesson in Japanese culture! We want to try all the expensive fruit!

Enjoyed the varied selection of food you chose in this video. Question: How much Japanese language did you learn before this trip you are sharing with your viewers?

Thank you so much. We’re glad that you enjoyed this video. It was definitely a fun one and delicious to make! To be honest, we only know a handful of Japanese phrases but generally speaking in Japan. People are fairly quiet and a lot of hand gestures and unspoken assumptions kind of happened. No matter where we travel we learn to say hello, goodbye, please, thank you, delicious, excuse me, sorry and 2 more beers!

When was this filmed? Why are you wearing coats? It should be really hot there.
@HeresGoodTravel6 ай бұрын
Yes, it is really hot there now. We filmed in February. We travel October-March and then continue editing and making videos while working summer jobs, sometimes food is seasonally specific but a lot of times good food is good food no matter the time of year! Thanks for watching
