It’s not even all about the money either although that’s important. What’s next in her repertoire of felonies? OP doesn’t even get that she’s done it once, she can do it again & he sides with her over his brother. @@janet6421 That's the problem though; the sister doesn't have feelings. She just knows that OP is a doormat, and if she hears a sob story about how "hurt" the sister is, then the OP will don her Knight in Dull Armor costume and try to beat the brother into submission and silence with additional emotional abuse. The reason OP thinks the "abuse was exaggerated" was because SHE was the bludgeon used to beat her brother. She was never the bludgeoned. I don't even have to hear the story from the brother's point of view to see that the eldest is a narc, OP is the enabler, and the brother is the scapegoat. I sincerely hope her sister does to her just like she did to their mother. I sincerely hope she forges documents, cleans OP out leaving her homeless and penniless, so OP can comfort the crying Narc when she comes sobbing about how "it was an accident, she didn't mean to clean OP out, please don't be mad, she doesn't want to lose her family, etc" and all the same lies she spat out before.

Right, so former delivery driver here. In the US, delivery drivers DO NOT MAKE MINIMUM WAGE. They try to sugar coat it that we make "approximately" x-amount per hour, but we are paid based on the amount/mileage of deliveries we do, and it's usually something like min wage in store, $2-4 an hour on the road. We survive on tips! I can express how much even just a $5 handed to me at the door could improve my night when a majority of people don't tip, or only tip a dollar. Also I can promise you, I remember every bad tipper. Every single one. Including our cities mayor, who spent $120 on pizza and sides, and did not tip AT ALL. Day before Christmas Eve, too. Jackass.

Story 1: NTA The food should definitely be divided by the number of people eating. For the room since there's only the one bedroom, that room should naturally cost more than a bunk in common space. I don't know if twice as much is logical or not depending on the size. It would be logical to set a price for each bed then they could decide if they wanted to pay the extra for the private room or share a bunk at the bunk price. As for splitting the bills, it's ridiculously easy. Calculate your share, and only pony up that amount. If the others want to subsidise the couple, they're welcome to, out of THEIR pockets. I used to go to lunches with a work group, and a few of them would load up on appetisers, drinks, etc, when I'd only have my entree and coffee. "Let's split the bill N ways!" "Wellp, II only had X, so here's for that, plus tax'n'tip." And I left it at that. No grandstanding, no "Waaah! It's not faaaaair!!", nothing, just what I owed. It took 1-2 rounds 'til I wised up, but no one gave me crap about it. (22bux when I'd only owe 12, or 13 tops? Yeah, no.) And funnily enough, once others started doing similarly, the slobs who'd order up and expected everyone else to subsidise them, stopped doing it to that extent when they had to start paying up in full. And if it's something like the b'n'b where the couple gets the room and everyone else gets cots or something, screw that. "Sokay, I'm out. Have fun without me."

For the competitive boyfriend and laid back girlfriend, honestly I think its more of an ESH. The two of them are just not compatible in general. While everyone is getting mad at OP for being insufferable compared to his girlfriend, the thing is she's not reading the room in his hobbies either. Like in competitive gaming if you end up leaving, you're ruining the experience for the rest of the team being a man down, its just as frustrating as she is feeling about him taking everything seriously. Honestly unless this is only issue they're having, I don't see this relationship lasting in the long run unless they just accept to let both of them have their own hobbies and maybe then just find some not gaming/challenge way of spending time together.

My Dad told me at a young age to always, ALWAYS tip the delivery driver/waiter or waitress. As I got older I made sure to tip 20% at least when I can afford it. He also taught me to be nice to the server because they have a huge say in what happens to your food. If GF were to talk badly to a server or under tipped, then the next time they went there the server could very well have their food messed with. People truly forget how much power the server has when you get food. Please be kind to the servers/cooks. They are under paid and stressed. Also, I'm completive by nature and I've put restrictions on myself so I don't ruin mine or anyone else's mood by getting frustrated by losing. Don't ruin someone else's fun because your too serious to have fun with the people around you.

It's nice to think so but some people are under the deluded notion that the driver gets the delivery fee... Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact it's written on the pizza box and your receipt that the driver doesn't get the fee, in theory its helping pay for the boxes napkins what have you. Drivers are paid like waitstaff anywhere else in the United States, well under minimum wage the company is hoping your tip will cover the rest. Now Drivers understand that everybody has bad days and can't always afford to tip, I myself would give each address 3 tries to tip at all. After the 3rd. No matter how many orders I had or what order they came in no tippers get the pizza dead last. And have to deal with cold pizza and warm drinks , Tippers get priority hot food and cold drinks . Non tippers can complain to corporate all they want no one cares especially since they can see I've been taking 3-6 runs every time out and every body else is happy .

The few times I have entered, I never actively try to win, but if the game is suddenly going well for me or any other family member, they try to accuse me/them of cheating or just having insane luck. When he joins her and her friends on their activities he has to remember this is just fun for them and not a competition which is why he sucks. Story 3: ESH. First of all OP has to realize that they come off as a very competitive person, and yes that can come off as very exhausting. OP needs to recognize that in themselves and manage it better. OP should make it clear to GF, where there are situations where he is "in it to win it." and then there should also be situations where he needs to relax and go with the flow. I think what OP needs to do, like for the charity bike race, he should tell the GF that he is trying to win this race. Now it was not clear to me if the Charity bike race was organized around teams or not, but if it was and GF wanted to be on his team, knowing his competitive nature, she was certainly being an AH in her choice of bike. If she wanted to participate with her fizzy whizzie bike, she could have joined a fizzy whizzie bike team and had fun. She should not her boyfriend's competitive team and ruined his fun. Even though it is for Charity, there are still winners and losers, that means there are still people to go to these events who want to try to win, and there is nothing wrong with that. It almost seems like the GF sabotages games and competitions based on the stories OP has told, when competition starts to become serious. For OP I can see how this can be annoying, so that makes GF an AH as well.

The last comment on the second story about the "I doubt other foods upset but not Dominos", that isn't how all bodies work. My sibling can have several junk food options, but if she eats x,y,z which is healthy it sets off her digestion for days and makes her feel like hell. Like she can eat pizza, but she cannot eat spinach because of texture, she can eat white chocolate but not regular chocolate because of how her body will respond. It's a really hard thing to deal with, and despite my food allergies to common things such as eggs, I can eat more variety than she can. She can't eat apples, either. So yeah, eating out is pretty hard but usually, more "junk" like food is less likely to upset her digestion for whatever bizarre reason.

The gf story,, ESH she was ruining games for EVERYONE not just him by not playing properly but the pub trivia thing was silly. It’s a “read the room” case for both of them. I’ve got a friend similar to the gf who doesn’t play group games seriously or bails half way through and it really sours the mood the rest of the group. If he needs to adapt then she does too! She’s an adult if she find it boring then she can still suck it up and get through it with our ruining it for the entire group just like he should. If everyone is just trying to play and you choose to goof off/play incorrectly/etc it ruins it for everyone else but also vice versa for things such as charity bike races!

In that last story, OP may still be able to salvage the relationship with her brother... if she acts on the judgements by confronting her sister about the forgery. Her sister will either blow up, have some disjointed excuse, or try to guilt OP for even talking to brother about this issue. OP could then go to brother and say, "I'm sorry, you're right that this is an issue, and I was just too [naive/ complacent/ afraid] to admit it."

Story 3. I'd like a little more clarity. OP said that he's been trying to include their SO in his activities. Is he the one that wants to include her? Or does she want to be included? If the GF is the one asking to be included, I'm going with ESH. You don't ask to be included in a competitive game/sport, and not play competitively. Example, the computer game, if she's wanting to participate, then she needs to be competitive. The bike race, unless it's scored on teams, and the pub trivia makes OP the AH.

@@pinkglitter93 Yup and anyone on a couch should pay less. If the agreement was they are all renting a house together then each individual should pay the same. I have friends like the madly competitive OP. One of them talked me into playing a card game for money with partners (I had no clue you could even play UNO with partners, and I was too effing poor to be playing for money. Our partners were guys she knew pretty well and we were actually breaking the law by playing for money in a bar, which is illegal as hell in our state. The guys volunteered to provide the cash, so that meant if we lost this guy I didn't know very well would lose money, so that was freaking me out. Well, my partner and I were losing and my friend went off on me for playing poorly, telling me to watch my partner's eyes to see what to play and generally yelling at me. I couldn't even see my partner's face because of the light hanging over the card table, but (I'm ashamed to admit it) the unfair and completely unexpected attack that went on for at least 10 minutes made me cry. Not sobbing, but lots of sniffling. It was very obvious to everyone in the entire bar that I was crying except my so called friend. After we lost one of the guys told her she should take me home, but she told him I was fine and then lectured me all the way to my house. It was fucking miserable. I learned three things from that night 1) never play cards for money, 2) always drive yourself because you most definitely do *not* want to be at the mercy of someone else when you want to go home, and 3) never to play any kind of game with her again and I haven't. Yes, she had been drinking and that was why she actually lectured me out loud and she felt kind of bad about it the next day. However, she still maintained that I was playing really badly and should have played better. That was at least 15 years ago and even today there is no way in hell I would play a game of tic tac toe with her. Her ex husband and her older son are just as bad as she is. I suppose her older kid couldn't help his genetic inheritance since her ex is his father, but the example they both set for him didn't help one bit.
