Simple, beautiful and exquisite story telling with a wonderful tune performed with passion, feeling and interpretation only Tom Jones can give. I'm fortunate to have grown up with this music.

He was only 27 yrs old here - so suave & debonaire with such a smooth, melodic yet powerful voice... I was born the year this came out. As a little kid I remember my mom, aunties, their friends, & hell, even their mothers all and I mean ALL of them had huge crushes on Sir Tom Jones. Whenever he came on the TV, they would all crowd around it & get all giggly like a bunch of school girls. It was funny how they'd yell at us kids (or the husbands) to keep the noise down so they could hear him sing. :-) Elvis Presley was a fan & close friend, often saying that Tom's voice was the best he's ever heard. In fact, Tom's nickname is "The Voice". He is from Wales, UK & recently celebrated his 80th b-day. He can still belt out the songs & was still doing shows until all this stupid COVID business became a reality... I remember watching clips of his concerts & all the women were either fainting & passing out onto the floor or throwing their panies on stage. As a kid, i didn't understand what was driving these ladies so crazy to strip off their underwear to toss them and their hotel room keys at his feet. Now I do understand. It even has a term called the Tom Jones Effect. LOL - no joke! :-) Ok, you must now check out, in this order - "Delilah" and then "Green green grass of home" - seriously dark/deep lyrics, but Tom sings them so beautifully that you forget what the songs are actually about. :-) For some lighter, more upbeat tunes check out She's a Lady, It's not unusual, & KISS (his cover of Prince's hit song with the British band, Art of Noise).

Tom Jones has one of the greatest male singing voices of all-time. In England, they called him "The Voice". You made a good choice with "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" being your first Tom Jones song to react to. It really showcases his incredible voice. Tom Jones met Elvis in 1965. They mutually admired and respected each others work. They became friends and remained close for the rest of Elvis' life. On the internet, you can find many pictures of the two of them together. My favorite Tom Jones songs that I would recommend and would love for you to do reaction videos for are "It's Not Unusual", "She's A Lady", "Delilah", and "Love Me Tonight". I'm sure you will enjoy them.

I'm an old guy who has played guitar in bands since the 60s. I grew up with the Beatles, Stones, Clapton, Hendrix, but I also grew up with Frank Sinatra and Swing Bands. This performance by Tom Jones is the most powerful male vocal performance I've ever seen. He had a better voice than any of his contemporaries, including Elvis. Tom married his high school sweetheart when both were in their teens. They stayed married until she died in 2016. He's quite a man. I'm a blues guy and a rocker. I thought he was a pop star/sex symbol back then but even then, I saw this performance and thought it was the most powerful, emotional and ON KEY WITHOUT AUTOTUNE song I've ever heard. Tom can still sing this song. He can't hit that high A at the end now, but he can sing the rest. Sir Tom. I admire him much more now than I did back when he had his show. Having said that, I also watched his show whenever I got the chance. Women are touched by this song, and the first chorus usually gets them. Guys are impressed by the manliness of the voice. ALL of us wish we could sing like that. Thanks for this.

Tom Jones had the voice that could be described as force of nature back then ! What really was his strongest card always was that ALPHA male call , all women went crazy around him , his stance , his voice , that confidence and good lyrics were the ingredients in combination with his mature full voice for his worldwide recognition . Even Elvis used to call him "The voice" . Can you imagine that voice with today's studios and quality of recording ? Unfortunately the legend now is 80 years old and it is too late . Look up his TV shows on you tube, you will see a lot of his performances. Songs like , IT's Not Unusual, one of his biggest hits . Also, Delilah, She A Lady, Green Green Grass Of Home just to name a few. A short story on the latter song, Elvis was on his bus coming back to Graceland after doing his concerts, this is before he flew, heard the song on the radio and called the the radio station and ask to play the song over. He called Tom Jones and ask permission to record the song. Long story short Elvis of course does it great. Both Elvis and Tom version is great. Also Elvis does I,ll Never Fall In Love Again also a great version. Maybe you could do a comparison between the two. It's going to be hard to pick the best between them . Love your reaction channel.

The great Tom Jones is 80 years young and still kicking. One day maybe you'll react to the live version of Smokey Robinson doing "Ooh, Baby, Baby"...and Tom is a baritone. Smokey and Jackie Wilson are a tenors.

Elvis did this song also. They both are great. But Elvis is the GOAT. Elvis and Tom were very good friends they even vacationed together in Hawaii

Hi Dani, Tom Jones sang this in 1967, and Elvis sang this same song in 1976. You can watch both Tom Jones, and Elvis singing this song both on KZbin. Glad you like "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again!" He also sings What's New Pussycat, and Delilah, and It's Not Unusual. Some of Tom Jone's greatest hits.

Interesting to see a young woman discovering Tom Jones. That song was written for him by lonnie donigan and seems to have got more attention since he sang it on,"The Voice" with Peter Donigan, son of Lonnie.

Tom Jones had a weekly TV show, and sang duets with many guest artists. I've seen some on KZbin. Just the other day, I saw one with the late great Janis Joplin.

Hi Dani. Sir Tom Jones was a judge on the Voice. He performed this very same song and his voice is even better now. That video is available on KZbin.

Tom Jones was an awesome vocalist, always enjoyed his performances. I dont know if you have heard of David Phelps, but if you want to hear perhaps the greatest tenor on the planet you need to listen to him!! Some vocal coaches have dubbed him as perhaps the greatest singer in the world! His voice is pitch perfect always, an unbelievable range and pure. You will not be disappointed! Check out his version of O Holy Night, / also, No More Night/ and his cover of Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing" which he did in the same key and octave as Whitney. You will be speechless.
