The fact that Tom could bring his family out and show them off and that his family didn’t fuck him over is a HUGE fuck you to Upchurch. After all, his mom stole from him and he is suing her. @@Swearengen1980 The flow was fine. But it isnt even about "flow". He is saying so many messages in this. He was putting out an inspiring song for everyone hoping people would hear something in this song to better themselves too. It is him saying that he has grown. He isnt the old person he was. He is better but also owns the old him because without that person he wouldnt be him now. He mentions that he regrets that beef with mac lethal because of what happened to him. But I personally don't think that was really why the things happened to mac lethal because of their rap battle but Tom does inside. For him to mention it when it was over long ago & done with in his new song then obviously he does feel bad inside about it. This song was basically saying live to be the best person you can be. It's the way Tom chooses to respond to beefs and haters. It's the way he's done it since the whole Mac Lethal beef made him feel dirty after he buried Mac. Part of the response is also having his family in the video and talking about how close they are and all he's done for them since one of the guys dissing him (not worth mentioning his name) can't say the same and has driven everyone close to him away with his insane behavior. Tom has often said that the thing he's most proud of is what he's been able to do for his family and friends after they supported him for years when he was broke and at his lowest. I have also not had the depths of despair that Tom had... in many ways, My life was a bit closer to Upchurch... but I never connected with Upchurch... I listened to his stuff and it is pretty good, but I connected with the message that Tom brings... I have been through my own shyte and was forged in the fires of pain and suffering, and yet I fought through it, I became that much better every time. I haven't had any of the "easy" cards played, no boosters from rich parents, no advantages beyond those I created myself... I continue to survive because of my own efforts and like Tom, I repay those who stuck around and were supportive while casting aside those that just wanted to use me for their own ends. It hurts... but it also made be stronger. Just like Tom, I believe in the good in people, I love my country despite it's flaws and strive to make it better. Respect, tenacity, effort, responsibility... those are more than just words, they are ideals for all of humanity to strive for.
@Swearengen19806 ай бұрын
@@edwardpaulsen1074 If you can enjoy it without sinking, you never had issues at all, you simply had bad habits. Bad habits is not the same as addiction. And none of that was relevant to Church. Entirely different audiences. Tom made some great recovery songs and now he increasingly panders to the Conservative crowd, which is fine, I'm part of that on both accounts. Church doesn't pander to anyone, he makes redneck music for rednecks for bars that often only country folk understand. He also makes basic country music, love songs, rap, deep thinker music, he switches up his styles from album to album because he's not pandering to anyone, he's doing whatever the fuck he wants to whether people like it or not. It's not surprising in the least that most Tom fans don't like Church and that's ok. I like most of Tom's music even if I think he's a largely grifting, that's capitalism, the American dream. Good for him. But a rational, objective thinker can look at his more woke past and see his progression of views going further right with each album while the $$ rolls in and realize it's just filling a niche missing in the rap community or most of music in general - repping Conservative values. And that's irrelevant to me, because I'm still here for it. The sobriety and anti-woke message needs to be spread any way possible in my opinion. But we can still be honest about what it is and still think it's a positive thing.

I’m not the biggest Tom fan..: but this is good. This is up there with “I’m Sorry”; “No Response”; and “Don’t Look Down”

And his sister. 'AD' is short for 'Assistant Director'. She almost certainly helped make sure these shots were correct, and those drone shots were sick. He's pretty genuine about thanking people who bend over backward alongside him on making it the best they can.

Great reaction video. I do agree, it's a response. But most importantly a response to the Elites that can't cut his strings because he's not a pupet like the majority of Rappers. His truth and accomplishments anger them all.

I love, Tom. In this video, I started to tear up because of all the pain he still has, but he has overcome most of it. The pain will always be there, but how you handle that pain is who you really are. He’s strong cares, and he has love to give. I’m praying for him and I’m glad that he’s turned around and now he’s sharing his wealth with the people he loves. Keep writing Tom will keep listening.

This says it all. The end. Nobody can touch this. This is the new version of the Eminem eight mile d so. Eminem addressed everything in the rap from eight mile. Tom just did the same thing times 100.

I'm 60 and I have to say You give me hope that not everyone my age and younger hate America which seems to be the new hip and trendy thing to do. Keep speaking your mind and being you. So many need to hear and see your light shinning!! I will say hearing your Mom passed before you could get her a house made me cry but know she knows your heart and loves you for that. Peace.

59 year old female been watching an d following for almost 6 years now. He has an huge following from 40-60 years old and up, no one else can say that... NO one! He's been thru it, turned his life around and made it without having to deal with a blood thirsty labels, didn't haveto sell his soul, or do any sucking an blowing at a diddy party, he included his family In his success instead of doing what the industry requires you to do like blood-sacrifice his family for $$ and fame. Just him and Nova were down hard together in the mud came up out of that mud found God together and now they succeed together. there is no better rags to riches story. Tom is the poster child for the American Dream... and sadly enough he's a Canadian showing more love for our beautiful country than the embarrassing Gov. we have now that's sacrificing its citizens for shitz and giggles. I have madrespect for this young man, he's an inspiration. No comparison to anyone in the industry In my book the people dissing this man for his legit success are bitter and trying to trash that success perhaps Tom legitimately struck a nerve forcing them to take a look at themselves and hopefully realize they have a lot of SELF-WORK to do before they come at him. he is God Mode they are Beast Mode therefore they are NOT equals! Way to go TOM, NOVA, HIS FAMILY, PETS & HANGOVER GANG FOR LIFE. GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS AND RESPECT HE 100% DESERVES. AMEN!

Some of us like Tom because he doesn't really go on about other rappers. I dont know too many rappers so if he's dissing them in a song it wouldnt really mean anything to me. However, i can see the state of our nation and i can see that his music has united a very diverse group of music lovers that also see that our country needs help and healing.
