I love all versions of that song. Incredible warm and true lyrics. When I heard it for the first time I was enchanted. The movie was crap but this song will make people happy forever and everywhere...Love you Tom, Heike from Germany 😍

I remember this so clearly. Any time Tom was on TV, I tuned in. Tom, Robin and Jay were all on a high with their careers, all the same age. I love how Tom made such a big deal over Robin. That's who he was, so humble and cool!

Steve Ferrone in a deep groove here - a great drummer who plays for the song not his ego. These guys were so great; sad that with the passing of Tom it has ended. So many great albums going back to 76. Few bands have been so consistent in putting out great albums over their career.
@hannaj40327 жыл бұрын
I can't even imagine the grief his band is going through. As a fan it's unbearable, those guys were his family.
@Mr01Parrot7 жыл бұрын
Yep. Agree totally Hanna. For me, the respect and love these guys had for each other only adds to the reason why I have so much regard for them. Not many bands have musical and personal integrity. So many fans are still reeling. We always have the music though!

Tom Petty looked good here! I guess the divorce was REALLY hard on him emotionally......poor guy....Dana patched him up, God bless her......
@LaylaSims8 жыл бұрын
+Debbie Livingston Tom does look good here, Debbie, I agree. However, this is during the time he was on heroin, so, no, he wasn't doing all that well. I can totally understand why no one noticed that he was doing that at this time. It wasn't until he was about to kick it that Rick Ruben found it noticeable. :-)

I think he looks GREAT here, too😍😍. So strange to think this was during a real difficult time during/post divorce and during heroin use days. He just looks so damned GOOD!❤️
