This was excellent - i have been doing all this, then i finally decided to get HBOT done. 4 sessions, and wow what a difference, i am at 95% now. The Oxygen starvation from the microclotting was crushing me, DO HBOT, i am telling you, game changer for me.

I am a bit confused about sometimes you seem to be praising Autophagy and sometimes you are warning about it. When do we not want autophagy?

You are what you absorb. Most peoples diet is too alkaline to optimally absorb the supplements. You need fruit juice, apple cider vinegar in your diet too. Magnesium taureate helped me a lot, also baby aspiri n at night.

I believe that fruit juices and any high sugar, low fiber food are not beneficial for those with PASC / long covid. I agree with Magnesium and baby aspirin. I have not tried ACV.

@@recoverfromlongcovid1084 I forgot to mention breathing through the diaphragm and eating beetroot for Nitrous oxide to lower blood pressure. I meant freshly squeezed orange juice. Your right about sugar.

Fruit juice is full of sugar, bad idea indeed, eat whole fruit berries in moderation

@@lindaschick863 It is a pH problem most people have. Too high a pH means the stomach and gut cannot adsorb the vitamins and minerals optimally. The absorption is critical to recover from Long Covid, as Covid saps all the bodies resources and depletes the stock. Fructose in fruit is not as bad as sugar. You need to buffer the acid pH of fruit with something, otherwise the very active acidity destroys your tooth enamel.

Hello Tom Realize that you got Long Covid through a severe deficient of 25-HydroxyVit D that an element for an optimal immune system. Zinc is very important AND to clean your body Chlorella-Spirulina capsules 2000mg per day. Because cleaning your body is even so important as your mentioned supplements. BUT i love your explanation.

He Ruud, hoe kun je dat met zo veel stelligheid zeggen? For the rest of the people watching this: apparently some spirulina pills contain toxins. Make sure to do your research before taking this supplement

Thanks for putting all of this up, Tom! It’s helping many of us tremendously. Question: how do you measure autophagy? Is there a cheap and easy way for us to do the same thing?

About 2/3rds of those with Long Covid feel increased symptoms in the evening or at night when fasting or taking autophagy inducers. Typically it is worse gut ache, worse head pressure, increased heart rate, kidney ache, heart ache, increased tinnitus, etc etc. We are not feeling cellular autophagy - but our immune response and increased inflammation at the sites of viral infection.

@@recoverfromlongcovid1084 ok, it’s a bit difficult for me given that my number one symptom is fatigue, which is kind of what you have in the evening anyway, with occasionally some heart palpitations, which are often medicine induced. From what I remember I think I read or heard you say somewhere that you had a way of measuring autophagy. That’s what makes me ask. If there is some sort of device I can use, I’d greatly appreciate hearing what it’s called and how I can buy it. Thanks!

@@teddybearroosevelt1847 Cellular autophagy is difficult to measure even in a research lab. It can only be done after killing a mouse or other lab animal. Currently, there is no way to measure autophagy in living, breathing people.

Every time I ask doctor about supplement he always said BIG NO. If i said I have Long Covid He looks the other way.

Thank you Tom, for all of this fantastic information! I still have mild(er) tinnitus that I’m trying to get rid of. Even though it may not help with tinnitus, I’ve been thinking about adding Lysine to my constantly changing array of vitamins and supplements-it’s been on my radar and now I’m convinced. Do you recommend that I start with 500 mg and work up to 1G, or go straight to 1G? Do you take it before every meal?

I would jump straight to 1 g Lysine. Very safe supplement as it is part of every meat or plant protein we eat.

Research the Medical Medium online for tons of free information regarding tinnitus and most other conditions. Usually a viral inflammation. He has treatments and explanations. Good luck.

@@lindaschick863 That’s the whole point. Everything should be questionable. That’s how progress is made. Not by accepting dogma. Viruses cause many illnesses that science is not yet aware of. Such as doctors are now realizing that Epstein Barr is behind MS and Lyme. That’s Anthony’s information. No question about that.

It is challenging sometimes. But I try very hard to only add or remove one thing at a time. Basically I compare everyting to how I feel when doing a water fast.

Hi there, I’m currently struggling with daily brain fog since having covid 18months ago, some days are worse than others. Any advice on what’s the best thing to try for this?

I think that daily NAC to boost our cellular Glutathione may be helpful. So is eating your meals in an 8 or 10 hr window daily - and avoid sugar!

does aspirin dissolve blood cloths? don't think so, but sure it can help you bleed in your stomach or intestines...

Autophagy is a basic cellular process that degrades damaged proteins and other cellular rubish. It is thought to be important for fighting viral infections as it primes the immune response. recoverfromlongcovid.com/?p=126

Would a 14 day water fast help to get rid of long Covid?

Longer water fasts could have some benefits but the they also have a greater risk of developing an electrolyte imbalance or nutritional deficiency. Refeeding syndrome can be life threatening to do not causually attempt a fast longer then 3 days. In my opinion, we get the maximum benefit from repeated 60 hour fasts every other week.

Hey Tom I have had lc since sept 20. I can't shake the chronic fatigue. I take mitochondrial supplements, plus but D,and k2. Any suggestions?

Do you take a b-complex supplement, separate riboflavin, folic acid, niacin (start at 100mg, then work your way up slowly to a few hundred mgs), nmn or nr, citrulline malate or arginine, green tea supplements, creatine, (acetyl) carnitine, pycnogenol, d-ribose, PQQ, taurine, high dosed CoQ10 (500 mg per day) or MitoQ? If not, I'd start with all of these things
