Today I revisit Tom's videos and listen to him again. At 70 years old my new improved swing thoughts are at the top of my swing let gravity drop my right upper arm to the side of my rib cage and then swing as hard as I can unfolding my right lower arm finishing (facing my target ) with both elbow in a bent position and weight shifted to left side. Oh yes maintaining an inert left arm free me to make a powerful right arm swing in the above sequence mentioned. Thank you Tom wherever you are.

This is unreal. Came across this video 2 hours ago, just got in from the range. I've never hit a 7 iron as far as I did in my life. More club head speed is noticeable! The clubs feels like it's about to slip out my hand because it's going so much faster than I'm used to! I had a few bad strikes but even my misses were still baby draws. My flushed shots were going a minimum of 10-15 yards further with each iron. High, tour pro like ball flight! I'm gonna stick with this early set! After all, it's the same move DJ does!

Once a person finds a decent grip and posture. By using Tom's assertion that the left arm is inert, like a piece of rope or string; and, to start a backswing all one needs to do is pull the left arm back with the right hand to the end of the back swing; he will experience tremendous coiling of his upper body. This action with the right hand will also allow for the proper rotation of one's hips. I might add that at the top of the swing, to execute the downswing all one needs to do is let go of the pulling of the right hand and initiate the downswing with the left hand. Try this and I guarantee you will never experience a blocking shot again; and as for myself I have developed a new love for the game of golf. As Tom would often end his videos, I say to all of you. Thank you very much. PS: Always at set up remember to bend from the hips first and then the knees

Excellent; and I have to concur with comments just below by Tom. Started golf after retiring and gave up tennis after knee replacement. I could have possibly prevented left shoulder impingement surgery had I had TT as an instructor; I kept hearing folks and players say u have to pull with the left, and that is just not as natural for me as hitting with right side. Those who grew up playing golf playing the traditional way of pulling with left side would not understand.

I think I have been playing from the wrong side. I am left handed but play right handed. I play like crap. It is like something is missing. I always feel like I don't hit the ball flush. I have had people tell me to pull with my left arm. According to your video that is wrong. I will try swinging left handed and see what happens.

Dear Denis, Tom was the finest Golf Coach anyone could ever have and I was fortunate enough to bring him down to Australia in 1989 for a Teaching Tour from Melbourne to Cairns. He was the inspiration for me to discover that "one best swing for people shaped golfers" as written by Homer Kelley in "The Golfing Machine." We produced this series of Instructional Lessons with Tom Tomasello at Peninsula Country Club, Frankston, Melbourne Australia. Lyne Blake was a keen student of Tom also and he has posted this here and I appreciate the great number of students of golf who have had access to Tom's wisdom. We all owe a debt of gratitude to Homer Kelley for his contribution to golf education, to Lynn Blake and Tom Tomasello who have made Homer's works more easily understood. Sorry, but ANY intentional use of the hands and arms to start a backswing or downswing uses the smaller muscles instead of the larger muscles of the back, legs, and core. The more you utilize larger muscles, your golf swing will be more powerful, more consistent and will less effort.

Watch Brian Sparks on youtube. Over 60 years of age and turns very easily. NOT TURNING is what causes the problems with the back and knees. The restrictions of not turning cause all kinds of problems. Ask Tiger. Three back surgeries, two knee surgeries, one blown out achilles tendon and still can't play tour level golf. Thanks to the restrictive golf swing. Yes, there are lots of techniques. But the one in this video is a lot of ............
