What a fabulous golfer Tom was. And what a wonderful gentleman he always has been. Truly one of the greats

one of my inspirations growing up... never forget the 2 iron he hit on the 72nd hole of the open to secure the win...my dad and i were watching together and we both thought, 'what a shot under such pressure'.

Tom has been through some tough things in his life. I’m glad he’s still around and healthy. He’s about as graceful as a man can be.

So true if you saw that one interview he had with David Feherty. The funny thing is, it was more about Feherty and how Tom influenced and saved his life. kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6Lbh3x-ntxnma8

@@zve482In that interview Jack Nicklaus also helped. Jack Told Dave "You look like crap", and then Jack offered his private jet to fly both them to Tom's place.

When Tom had that little conversation with Ben, Ben was probably being very candid, because (as Tom mentioned it was back in the mid 80's) and Tom was very successful. One legend talking to a latter legend

Trevino said it best, pressure is playing for 5 dollars, when you only have a dollar in your pocket.

Pressure isn't bottom of the ninth, two outs, bases loaded. Pressure is grounding out weakly to third.

Tom Watson could be in top 25 pros of all time on tour. But, he became very, very arrogant. Difficult to be around.

Interesting….I’ve never heard anyone describe Tom Watson as arrogant…

He's not in the top 25? He's tenth on this list for wins (not prize money) and of the 40 behind him, there's no one active on the tour apart from McIlroy who is 15 wins behind. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_golfers_with_most_PGA_Tour_wins

@@blairsterling6141 I'm not judging harshly. Could means there is a doubt about it or if he was a young player he has the potential to get there. As the latter is not applicable, then could means there is a doubt. For me there is no doubt. The numbers are overwhelming.
