I had the pleasure of seeing Tom Weiskopf play at Wentworth Matchplay that he won and I have to say he had a presence that few people command. Tall Elegant golfer with great ballstriking ability. One of my favourits from my early years of golf..

Tom was my guy....I’m 6’3” and played high school golf in the late 70’s......every announcer back then always commented on the beauty of his tempo

The swing with his irons was much shorter and more controlled. Putting and temperament held him back but what a swing.

Note how his head stays perfectly still. He doesn't lurch at the ball as Tiger does.

I grew up in Augusta, after 2 2nd places at the Masters, locals started hoping hoping he would win, after the 3rd 2nd, the majority in Augusta really wanted him to win , he had played so well and was well liked, never happened ... fun watching him play

At Riviera in LA I got to watch him hit an entire bucket of balls with his driver. Just me watching. It was a glorious experience. He was 6'3", not 6'4", and he wasn't pretty powerful: he was the only player of note who could consistenly outdrive Nicklaus in his prime.
