A really great progressive episode! well done! My personal life experience is for me the 100% confirmation of what Jamie Wheal is talking about :) I am thrilled to see people in his position pushing to use these chemical tools. Not letting them be put off by the fears of the abuse that spun off of it, and instead improve the world with it.

"The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity." Brilliant. Explains so much of today. Can't help but think of all of the "passionate," loud activists who think, with such conviction, that they are infallible and correct.

Yes, absolutely makes sense. He’s right, and amazing man. I’ve been lucky to have mentors who integrated, movements, breathing, psychology, biofeedback machines and mystical healing. Super cool 😎 Been doing this for 30 years. I’ve done Groff work in the 90s but could never talk about it in public as it was taboo. One session was enough to wipe sway major trauma a suffered from childhood. Always loved this work.

I was a little confused at first when you guys launched Impact after having momentum with Quest but after watching the material I get it. These guests are spot on and I love the content on the mind. It's blowing mine and as a long time student of meditation, the subject of expansion is something I have always wanted to learn more about. Side note, the V day episode with you and your wife Tom brought me back to why I married my wife. I was a little lost and as we are equals, I was becoming a little harsh in my expectations of her. Every episode has an ' ah' moment. Thanks bro.

Although I've known for a long time that research into psychedelics & such was ongoing, hearing his insights has given me some hope that 'our brains on drugs' can be used for the betterment of humankind & our world, not just to derail it a little more. indeed, my meditation teacher, a Buddhist, has used his experiences with ayhuasca (sp?) to pass on great insights & awareness to his classes. Hi Tom, as an ardent fan of your interviews, I'm extremely disappointed that you've taken down all the videos of Inside Quest. It added a ton of value to my life and I kept rewatching some of my favourite interviews. As of now, good job with Impact Theory, love the show, but I really feel let down . I bet every single one of your subscriber feels the same. I genuinely hope the videos of Inside Quest are re-uploaded.
@TomBilyeu7 жыл бұрын
I share you pain on this one. I wasn't part of the decision to pull them down, but I recognize how hard it is to run a business. I have to believe that they are doing what they believe is best for the brand long term. Looking at the change it looks like they are trying to focus their content around physical transformations and fitness and nutrition in general. That will certainly speak to their core audience.
@daxx2997 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the honest reply. Appreciate it. I'm very thankful for Impact Theory now :)
@jawhnay7 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom! I started following you since Inside Quest and I have to agree with Dhanush. From your explanation, I understand why the videos were taken down, but I don't see why it was necessary. It may not have added value in the form of physical transformations, fitness, and nutrition, but I'm sure many people in the core audience going through a transformation aren't looking only to improve the physical aspects of their life. Overall, I believe those videos stuck to the core principle of you and your team which was to add value and help people improve their lives. Is there anyway to access the previous videos that were hosted on Inside Quest? Also, I'm glad you didn't stop making these types of interviews after Inside Quest. Great job with Impact Theory!

41:49 Serious point about this: Hate and fear always comes from love. I propose that even those rare people who act from a position of *pure* hatred (the complete nihilists who only want the world to burn), are only in that position because what they love has been destroyed and taken away from them in their lives. So many people use the "the answer is love" cliche; and I think only a tiny percent of those people don't hate or strongly dislike something. The idea that "that group over there" is coming from a position of hatred, and we're coming from a position of love strikes me as a very naive perspective (not saying Jamie's saying this btw). I do think it's actually possible to come from a position of *pure* love, but I don't actually know what that looks like in the real world. I kind of think that might just look like inaction. There's a good reason why our default natural state isn't one of pure love. Pure love might just make you realise that the universe is doing *exactly* what it wants to be doing, and nothing is wrong or a problem and nothing is more or less deserving of the love that you're going to give haha

"Wow Wow, Jamie Wheal, incredible expansive perspective, on the core fundamental truths existing within each of our skin bags." In Japanese culture Oku, the hidden psychological layers beyond the skin's surface. We are all equally vulnerable, experiencing unprecedented exponential changes, cultural/political/educational/corporeal establishments are dissolving/fragmenting all around us. Adopting the Feeling of discomfort, as if a nice Persian rug has literally been ripped from under our feet. A rude awakening, triggering a response, to play apart, step up. This is going to involve placing political/religious separatism aside, toward greater human collaboration in rebuilding an interconnectedness of oneness and love. Between all global citizens riding spaceship Earth around this expansive and fantastical universe.
