Thank you for the video well done! My bother and I visited Tombstone and the Mescal movie set the week of the 30th reunion and went to both events each night at Schieffelin hall it was defiantly experience I will never forget! When I visited Mescal they were selling framed pieces of the wallpaper from the oriental saloon filmed in the movie and no question did I have to take one home with me so it is so cool to have a piece of history from one of the best if not the best westerns of all time!

The stuntman who jumped the horse through the window was my friend Hunter. He died here in the Philippines last year of a sudden heart attack. I wish he was still around so I could ask him for you which one of the versions of the story were true. He was damn good guy. RIP Hunter.

Really enjoyed your video. I always wonder, how one becomes a guide to a movie set. This one in particular that appears to be in the middle of no where!!! I visited Tombstone a few summers ago. It was a great experience being at the place the actual events took place. I remember the walking guide we had was I believe named Dr. Jack. Turns out he was a retired dentist fron New Jersey where I am originally from! We at a few times in Tombstone at Big Nose Kate's. The movie was playing continuously on every tv in the place! Great stuff.

I have been to tombstone many times and its amazing. If you go you gotta stay at the bordello. Its beautiful and full of history. Then you have Bisbee and that is such an amazing place to walk the streets in the evening. The bar seen is great and the food is to die for but the best thing is the shopping because you won't find older antiques for a better price.

I worked ranches all over this part of the country the people that used to lease the grazing rights there. The town was there not the same but used to be there is there plus some. It was cool to have a place for shade in the summer.

I was here about five years ago. I didn't have the information about the tour times and I pulled in after the last tour group pulled out of the entrance. There was a "cowboy"/security/tour-guide guy... not the guy in this video. Anyway, he asked where I was from and where i was going; then he gave me a one-on-one tour of the entire place. We even went out away from the buildings... My tour lasted almost 90 minutes. It is weird though, because at that time, the tour guide said they were soon going to discontinue all tours. They told me the same thing at Old Tucson Studios.

If it was that long ago it was probably under the old ownership. At the time they thought they might close down but were bought by new owners who started fixing the place up.

That's cool that this is still open and can be toured. Last visited Old Tucson in 2020 right before they closed due to the situation. This was part of the tour but you had to sign up in advance. I heard someone bought Old Tucson from the county so is this now separately run or does one still have to go through the Old Tucson to get a tour?

I was there years ago. Saw a figure in the cemetery boot hill. The spirit was angry kicking dirt around. Mine you it was last at night. He gave off a rotten flesh smell that could gag you. He keep pointing to a headstone yelling liers their liers. His face had a large hole in where his cheek should be. His eyes black. His skin looked like it was rotten melting off him. He wore a top hat and long coat. As I looked at him he looked back at me grinding his rotten yellow teeth and vanished. Years later I met a woman who saw the same man in the cemetery. She was surprised 😯 I I described exactly what she saw. Both of us saw him. But no other did. also saw Morgan Earp spirit walking at night on the boardwalk.

I had an ancestor (Johnny Boyett) that killed the Last Earp in Arizona...Warren Earp. Johnny Boyett's grandfather and my GGGrandfather were first cousins. They served in the Confederate army together and farmed near each other after the war. Johnny's family moved to Texas in the 1800's. later Johnny and his brother headed out for Arizona to see the world and make their fortune. They worked at a ranch outside Wilcox, AZ. for some time and that's where Warren and Johnny met. Warren was considered a bully and a braggart by most who knew him. He spent years trying to live off his older brothers fame. He was worse when he was drunk and those who knew him well said that "Sobriety was not one of his virtues"". Johnny was well liked by the ranch owners and the men he worked with and was promoted to top hand. That was just other reason that Warren disliked him. In July 1900 hands from ranches around Wilcox went into town for the 4th of July holiday. It was there that the continuing problem came to a head that led to the shooting and the culmination of 10 or more years of hard feelings between the two men. After the shooting Virgil Earp came to Wilcox and asked some question and but left satisfied that what he expected had come to fruition...that Warren would finally meet someone who would not be cowed and would kill him. Virgil's former wife said that the killing of Warren was a bit of a relief to some in the Earp family. Johnny and his brother remained in Arizona for a few more years and later moved back to Texas where he died of some form of stomach problem and is buried in Hays County, Texas next to his brother Sam and Sam's wife Edna. Warren is buried at the Pioneer cemetery in Wilcox. He is NOT under the grave stone you will see there. That was put there by gunfight re-enactors and ladies from Tombstone. Warren is buried in the cemetery but his grave location is not known. Tom Boyte, El Mirage, Arizona Note: Boyett is the variation of the name Boyte which is the original that came to this country in the 1600's from Scotland. Some Boyte families got the different spelling due to enumeration errors during the census of the 1790. Warren Earp Killed in Wilcox This article appeared in the Arizona Range News, July 11, 1900. The Headquarter Saloon was located on Railroad Avenue where the Flying Leap Tasting Room is currently located. Warren Baxter Earp is buried in the Historic Wilcox Pioneer Cemetery off North 3rd Ave. Warren Baxter Earp Courtesy City of San Bernardino Historical & Pioneer Society Warren Earp was shot and killed by John Boyett at 1:30 Friday morning at the Headquarter saloon. It was the culmination of an ill feeling which had existed between the two men for a number of years. From evidence given at the preliminary hearing last Saturday it developed that their last quarrel began in the restaurant in the rear of the saloon. Both men came into the saloon and Earp told Boyett that he (Boyett) had been offered $100 or $150 by parties in town here to kill him. Boyett denied this and told Earp he did not want any trouble, but added that if he had to fight him that he was not afraid. Earp told Boyett to go get his gun, and said that he was fixed. Boyett stepped out through the front door of the saloon, walked over to the Wilcox House. The proprietor W.R. McComb was in the office reading. Boyett walked behind the bar and helped himself to a couple of guns, and left the room. Mr. McComb called to him to come back and asked him why he took those guns. He replied that he might need them and would return soon. Before Mr. McComb could interfere Boyett had already left the room. Boyett thereupon went back into the saloon, entering at the front door and wanted to know where Earp was. Earp entered through the rear door and Boyett fired two shots at him, Earp disappeared through the same door he had entered; then he went from the restaurant through a side door out on the side walk and in a few minutes he entered the saloon again through a side door. He advanced towards Boyett. Opening his coat he said: "You have the best of this, I have no gun." Boyett told him repeatedly not to advance or he would shoot. Earp still kept advancing and Boyett backed off towards the front door. Finally Boyett again repeated his warning not to advance another inch or he would shoot. Earp not heeding, Boyett fired, and Earp dropped dead. The officers were notified and Deputy Sheriff Page, George McKittrick and Jim Hardin appeared on the scene. George McKittrick arrested Boyett and placed him in jail. Upon examination a pocket knife half opened was found in Earp's hand but aside from this he was unarmed. The next morning Judge W.E Nichols impaneled a coroner's jury. Dr. Nicholson made an examination of the dead man and found the bullet had entered the left side two inches below the collar-bone passing from left to right and obliquely downward lodging in the skin under the left shoulder blade passing through the heart in its course. The jury rendered a verdict that Earp came to his death from a bullet fired by from a gun in the hands of Johnny Boyett. Friday afternoon the remains of Earp were buried in the cemetery. Saturday at 1 o'clock Boyett had a preliminary hearing before Judge W.F. Nichols. District Attorney Land was unable to appear for the prosecution, while 0. Gibson represented the defendant. After hearing evidence of the prosecution, on motion of Mr. Gibson, the defendant was discharged, Judge Nichols taking the ground that it was a case in which he thought the grand jury would not find an indictment, or if an indictment was found, a trial jury would fail to convict.

It was all part of the same scene. Curly Bill kills White, Wyatt takes custody of Curly Bill, The Cowboys surround Wyatt, Wyatt threatens to turn Ike's head into a canoe, Billy Clanton says we can take him, Ike says no, then Doc comes out and refers to Billy as Music Lover and pulls his gun, that's when Billy pulls his knife and refers to Doc as "the drunk piano player" seeing double, Doc pulls his other pistol and says, I have two guns one for each of ya.
