Used to race in the 80s, but sure can’t afford it now, much as I’d like to. Never was brand specific, ran GM, Fords and Mopar, didn’t matter to me. Some were quick, others dogs but I had fun.

Had a girlfriend in the 80s who had one. Her dad and I dropped a 396 into it with a 4speed and it was a wild car to drive. No power steering or brakes, so it was a handful.

I had 2, my first street car was a 58 delray, plain jane, came with the strt 6 3 on the tree.i put a 327 outa my brother wrecked 66 vett. Paid $80 bucks for it in 73. . Thanks for the comment Bob and glad you liked the video. I also really like the 1958 Impala's and Bel-Air. That black 1958 as far as I know is a Bel-Air only because it has that logo on the dashboard of the car. And I believe the side window chrome gives it away as a Bel Air, but I'm not any expert by any means on that era of cars. I just enjoy seeing them and learning cool things that I knew knew.

Oof. Thanks for the coverage, but I think I'm gonna be sea sick, Tom. You should really stop zooming with both e.t. boards in frame. Instead of following the cars past the finish line and then swinging back and forth to each e.t. board.

And actually that is a great idea I never thought of, I can zoom out and have both boards in the frame and in the editing software I can quick jump cut to each one or do a split screen of each time. Everyone runs chevy because it's the cheapest to build! They don't stop to think about doing it every week. We used to build our Mopars once and run it all season!

When you break parts, as you will while racing, Chevy parts are cheaper to replace than Dodge or Ford. Which means that you can get back to racing quicker. Your season doesn't have to be over because you are waiting on parts or being able to afford the parts like with Dodge and Ford.

Let's look at that. Mopars have become to valuable to wreck at a drag strip. Fact Second build a Ford cost more PER PART than a GM. You see more GM because their plentiful and won't break the bank as much as a Ford and WAY less than a Mopar. Logic and reasoning bud
