I'm so glad that neither of you chose to draw realistically. The world would have missed out a lot. Especially your thumbnails, Tom, for the non-interview topics of your podcast are so clever. I thought 'working with friends' really stood out. That ticking bomb hand nails it. Also, your stamps for Canada from the Skillshare composition class have a very unique and beautiful feel to them. Luckily, Chris too stays true to his Nancy Piascik side. Silly plus weird plus extremely funny plus super well done illustrations are so rare!!!! "10 Years of Daily Drawing" is still my favourite art book of all time - especially the trump pages. ("Another 1000" is on the list, but right now UPS would get more money for shipping it to Germany than Chris). But what I really admire is the consistency you both have in sharing your knowledge, skills, and talent. Many thanks for all the hours you put in.

Thank you! Yep UPS rates (and import fees) are the worst!

You hit the nail on the head regarding vector requirements. I used to work on the fabrication/production end of the graphics world and it used to be that most finishing (cutting, plotting, routing, embroidering, etc) required a vector file and it just made life easier on fabrication side. So i think that just stuck that a vector file is needed. But it really isn't as much these days. Especially since most things stay in the digital realm. But for branding it makes sense. Also agree that not giving the full vector file each time is wise if the client hasn't paid for usages beyond what has been agreed upon.

I loved the vector conversation and I loved that you were pushing back on dogmatic ideas. Unfortunately that's what made it rough when it turned towards what is and isn't illustration. Thanks for the cool discussion regardless!

I’ve taken both of your classes on Skillshare! So cool to see you guys talk together, especially about things us other artists struggle with too. Thanks for all the great videos you two put out. Cheers!

I have undiagnosed ADHD (I'm on my way), and listening to the host talk just makes me more sure I'm on the right path, sorry 😂. I feel your struggle to not weer off your trail of though

This isn’t an interview Tom talks too much and needs to let the guests talk more …you covered two topics and I learned Notting about the guest 😅

It’s not an interview! It’s a conversation. If I called it an interview my bad!
