Pure non telegraphic explosiveness. You can tell the amount of work he's put in. Great to see

The man is the most skilled living practicioner of Jeet Kune Do (Fencing with arms and legs). I have learned more by watching him then all the other "Masters" combined. Actually, almost all of them are fake, bad/sloopy Wing Chun practicioners. This here is the real deal. If you want someone to teach you how to end fights, learn from or simply observe Tommy Carruthers.

I believe this guy is the real deal out of everything I've seen.

Not going to argue about who is best or anything, but have you ever looked at Octavio Quintero? Similarly, I've made a lot of improvements to my own technique simply by watching him. He's my personal favorite to watch and study.
@leejou26 жыл бұрын
Well, Octavio is a perfect example of what martial art mecca is talking about. Watered down WC. He does things that Bruce left behind. No wonder, he was student of a man who actually trained only 3 times with Bruce. There is a record Bruce used, that has all the data on how many times and who trained with him. Hopefully it will get published one day. Poteet also went very irregular to the LA school classes (where Bruce didn't even held classes, but Inosanto) according to some other first gen students. After Bruce died, many who only shacked his hands became suddenly JKD experts even they were, compared to classical graduation, not even a yellow belt. That's how JKD became a mess over the years and is being practised by the most as something totally different, than the art Bruce actually developed.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a time that Jesse Raymond Clover praised how good Tommy Carruthers was and that he can be next to Bruce Lee when it comes to Jeet Kune Do. I think Tommy Carruthers was also a student of Jesse Raymond Clover.

The truth is, he did use it, but he stopped. Just like Bruce. It doesn't mean, he never used it, or that he cant show it in demos.
