His parents were just adorable and obviously so proud and supportive of him. I've been a fan of his since he joined Styx, and he just keeps getting better and better. The guy's a born songwriter, a great singer on everything from rock to ballads to blue-eyed soul to bluegrass, he's an excellent guitarist and a dynamic performer. I love his music and his unwavering enthusiasm. He never fails to inspire me!

I had a teacher in high school who said a lot of gorgeous people used this instead of developing a personality in their life. When their looks fade they have nothing to fall back on. Obviously Tommy didn't consider his looks as his talent. He worked hard to get where he is now. He wasn't just a pretty face but strong talent and kindness.

I saw Tommy Shaw open for RUSH on their "Power Windows" tour! Tommy & his band killed it, and RUSH always treated their openers great, so the PA was excellent, too. So many times the openers are talented but the PA sucks. Then the headliner comes on & the sound is great. RUSH absolutely killed it, also. *_GREAT_* concert! Thanks so much for this!!!

Interesting and sometimes funny look at the fickle nature of celebrity and a humorous and humbling , behind the scenes look at what going on tour really involves. Tommy Shaw is a true road warrior.,, still touring and kicking ass 30 years later.

@@jaylkeene8236How long did his solo career last? Didn't he play with the Damn Yankees for 2 years? Then back to Styx to record a greatest hit song that he didn't originally sing on. This was how they got back together.

A musician that travelled with other band with Styx was asked in an interview who the nicest person in the music business he had ever met. He didn't hesitate. Tommy Shaw. Him and a band mate were going to breakfast and met him going the other way with two shopping bags in each had. He told them the man whose job was to fill in for anything was sick. He said I had to get him some food and medicine. Anyone else would call someone else to do it.

Starting at 19:36, does anyone out there have a VHS recording of the original girls with guns music video, like you see on this part of this documentary. Now Tommy Shaw has said that the video itself is nice and all, he probably love the way you looked. Although he wish that the video itself would be private to him, because he didn't want the original music video of girls with guns to go on the air of MTV or the entire world. I also sense that the producers behind that original girls with guns music video did it without Tommy's knowledge, so he had the band members and the record company behind him to pull off the original video from the air. And as we all know, the only video of girls with guns we see nowadays on the internet and ever since it aired on MTV. Is the girls with guns black and white music video that takes place in the studio, with a funny gag at the beginning when somebody uses the vending machine in the studio. However I am trying my best and I'm not giving up, to find the original version of the girls with guns video on the internet. If somebody got it from his or her VHS recording and post it on KZbin, Dailymotion, Vemo any of those sites in the internet. I am so desperately trying to find the original version of the girls with guns music video on the internet, with projections on a lady with a bikini or slingkini and my best favorite part from the video. We're Tommy Shaw and his band make a big jump, and land on the floor. Can anybody tell me where I can find the original girls with guns music video ? Make sure to give me a reply for this comment, and make sure to provide a link on the reply. So I can click on it and it will take me straight to somewhere in the internet, and I can finally watch the original version of girls with guns music video

@tkblondish5820 Жыл бұрын
Dennis caused his own problems. He chose to be extremely difficult and create problems with everyone in Styx, not just Tommy. Business is business and Dennis had a different take from everyone else on where the band should go musically. The band came back together better than ever. Why blame Tommy for the rift? Tommy Shaw is still considered one of the nicest guys in the business.
