Tomo sir, I just had a small question. When I play some difficult riffs/licks, how do I decide if I should start with an "up-pick" or "down-pick" while alternate picking? Sorry if my question sounds stupid. Great lessons, btw!
@TomoFujitaMusic4 жыл бұрын
Great question! Just do all down stroke on 1,2,3,4 beat with really slow tempo. Then go even much slower tempo and try down & up stroke. Like.. 1& 2& 3& 4&... count really clearly! 1,2,3,4 is down beat ....& is up beat.

Man your strumming is too wild for me, when I strum I do not drop below the bottom of the fret board I just barley drop below the G string. When I was trying to replicate that wild stroke of yours it was throwing my timing off.

@@TomoFujitaMusic whatever works for you, I went to music school here in Minnesota and my piano teacher always got on me for lifting my fingers too high off the keyboard. Once she got on me so bad she said: "what do you do when you play guitar, do you lift your fingers off the fret board". I took I needed to control what I was doing out of that.
