I really had my heart set on the breville for the look and how it functioned. Almost bought the breville but opted for the ninja due to all these different comparisons on KZbin. I didn't realize there was a whole world of coffee ☕ people on KZbin. I'm just a regular coffee drinker who loves a latte once in awhile but hates to pay the price at the coffee shop. While my husband loves his coffee and his lattes a bit more than me. We bought our first machine and I'm learning how to use it. After making 2 failed lattes I got the 3rd one right on so I was pleased with that.i found you on KZbin testing these two machines out and I'm pleased to say for being a first time owner of an Expresso machine I'm quite pleased I chose the ninja lux. Tom, I bought the Sage Barista Express Impress in January 2024 because of your videos 💪 and I love it! Now I can say I have mastered the machine; it's truly awesome! You mentioned that changing the temperature on it is very easy. To do this, turn off the machine and press the manual button with the single/double and power buttons simultaneously. Then, choose the desired temperature setting (power button light roast, double shot medium light, single-medium, manual medium dark, and grinding is dark). It's very accurate when you program it. Regarding dosage and ml, in your video, you pressed the button three times for perfect grinding, which is why it wasn't so perfect. When you grind only once, it's perfect, and the ratio will also be perfect in the end. Three-day-old coffee beans, and I'm in heaven! 😂

It's perfect for me who knows a little more about coffee, and can dial in the grind if it's not to my liking, but using their automatic grind as a guide, etc. Then, my fiance who has no patience to learn can just hit a button and get good espresso. Also, a lot of people aren't giving the quad shot a fair shout here. What if I have someone over, and we both want a coffee? Making 2 double espressos at once is such a good ability.

Feels like Ninja is price dumping with this machine. The amount of features put in this machine is insane, and Ninja is known for good quality appliances, so we can expect the same from this machine. So how did they make this price? I think they try to challenge Sage and DeLonghi on their territory, so they have to give a good price now. I bet in 2 - 3 years Ninja will be around $800-900, so buy it while you can. Great video, Tom, as usual.

I've gifted a number of ECP and Dedica machines after finding your channel, idk, two years ago now? As always, thank you for the video, I really apricate your effort and enjoy watching them.

While the Burrs may look the same, Can the outer Burr be adjusted on the Ninja? I believe it can be adjusted on the Sage. Does it mean the Sage is giving you 25 grind settings for each outer burr increments while Ninja is not? This would make a significant difference in the grind size resolution you get from each machine especially since the Ninja has to have the grind size for espresso as well as filter coffee within those 25 grind size settings, thus each increments will be big. If Ninja allowed outer Burr to be adjusted, how does the algorithm react in terms of making recommendations for grind size?

Quad shot, finally! A reason to have the espresso come out in two directions making two drinks at once. It's a little slow on steaming compared to the thermojet in the Bambino etc.. but this level of automation with a thermojet is waaaay more expensive. Good job Ninja. you've mentioned next version of the Luxe Cafe is coming in the next month? Is that true and when exactly? Thank you

I can't make any guarantees - it's internet chatter. But check about half way down my blog post for some info about the new stuff: tomscoffeecorner.com/ninja-luxe-cafe-premier-espresso-machine-review/

The only complaint I have on the Ninja is no hot water for my Americano. Other than that I would buy one.

I feelthis 500 USD is an introductory price to put it on the radar and compete aggressively. I hope it stays this low, seems to be a great addition to the field.

I like Ninja products as I have owned a couple. I'm wondering, though, why I would purchase this machine rather than the Gaggia I have my eye on.
@TomsCoffeeCorner4 ай бұрын
It's just much easier than the GCP. The GCP is not ergonomic, but can make some great espresso when done right.

@TomsCoffeeCorner , I was able to purchase a Delonghi ECP3630 just over a month ago. I chose this model because I have been watching your videos, and I felt that this was the best option I could purchase for now, given my budget. Your videos and my Delonghi have rejuvenated my espresso passion. I enjoy dialing in the grind and my techniques to create the best espresso I can. I'm hoping I can save up to buy the GCP as I love the build quality of the Gaggia, and I can continue to work on perfecting my espresso technique.

Could you please test the Ninja vs. the Meraki?
@TomsCoffeeCorner4 ай бұрын
I was considering it. While I think the Barista Express is the more aligned comparison, maybe I'll show it against the Meraki, too.

Because the luxe cafe has been so hard to get in Canada the thrill has worn off for me, so I think I’ll wait for the next version with hot water dispenser and hopefully a ground decaf bypass….current machine would not be able to switch beans at will without a complete redosing cycle for the decaf beans for one shot in the afternoon….too much extra work

I know, it sucks. It's been out of stock a whole lot in the USA too. AFAIK it also went out of stock again after James Hoffmann's review. Cheers!

Is the grinder good, like is it comparable to an independant 500$ grinder ?
@pigbenis114 ай бұрын
I would venture a guess that the grinder is not as good as a grinder you could get for the full price of the Luxe..

Tom hello, what about some video with ur experience moka pot modified with non pressurized basket?
@TomsCoffeeCorner4 ай бұрын
As I understand it, the Moka Pot does not have a pressurized basket. It's a perculator style, if I'm not mistaken. Big holes, and a water chamber underneath...

@@TomsCoffeeCorner u can modified moka pot with drill with a 51 mm crown, for hole cut, and u can use non pressurized basket upside down) Now common among China and Thailand. Mokapresso - the name is sometimes found on the Internet. Video with ready moka pot. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIHTdWR3mstpmqM

Hey Tom. Sometimes I like to make a decaf coffee, preground Illy decaf coffee. Not great but it is simple to mnually addi it to my superautomatic machine. On Ninja it should be the same. simply skip grind step and just use preground decaf. But i am wondering of this will mess up the autosense feature of the machine and it will start recommending wrong grind setting. Or maybe it is smart enough to ignore brews where grinder was not used? It would be interesting id you could test and make a video. Maybe do a several brews with preground coffee and see if grinder recommendation will change? Thanks and keep up the great work.
@TomsCoffeeCorner4 ай бұрын
That's a good question, I'm going to have to experiment with that. I know it's possible to bypass the grinder, but I haven't confirmed that the software then ignores those extractions. Cheers!

@@TomsCoffeeCorner Do you know if it’s possible to bypass with the Impress?
