Tom, I bought the Sage Barista Express Impress in January 2024 because of your videos 💪 and I love it! Now I can say I have mastered the machine; it's truly awesome! You mentioned that changing the temperature on it is very easy. To do this, turn off the machine and press the manual button with the single/double and power buttons simultaneously. Then, choose the desired temperature setting (power button light roast, double shot medium light, single-medium, manual medium dark, and grinding is dark). It's very accurate when you program it. Regarding dosage and ml, in your video, you pressed the button three times for perfect grinding, which is why it wasn't so perfect. When you grind only once, it's perfect, and the ratio will also be perfect in the end. Three-day-old coffee beans, and I'm in heaven! 😂

It appears that there will come 3 versions of the Ninja to the EU. They are already listed on Amazon ES501EU ES601EU and ES701EU. The ES701EU seems to have some design changes, looks like it no longer comes with a loose tamper but with a lever as well. Looks quite interesting.

I just got the ninja yesterday. It’s my first espresso machine. I love it so far. I haven’t tried all the features. I just make traditional cappuccino and it turns out better than my local coffee shop. My coffee is from Costco, medium roast Mexican coffee. I leave my temp setting on the lowest setting and it’s just perfect for me. I tried the hottest setting and it turned out too acidic for my liking.

Feels like Ninja is price dumping with this machine. The amount of features put in this machine is insane, and Ninja is known for good quality appliances, so we can expect the same from this machine. So how did they make this price? I think they try to challenge Sage and DeLonghi on their territory, so they have to give a good price now. I bet in 2 - 3 years Ninja will be around $800-900, so buy it while you can. Great video, Tom, as usual.

6 күн бұрын
@@gosman949 well, there are not so many things to fix or improve. Hot water dispenser? Well, not so many people need it, especially given this machine does long coffees. What other things? It is already quiet precise, it is already well made, it is already doing well all it is intended to do. Otherwise, yeah, you can wait and see what else they add and at what cost for the customer. In my opinion, this is not so complex as a car, where you really better wait for 1 or 2 years while the producer fixes all issues...

Quad shot, finally! A reason to have the espresso come out in two directions making two drinks at once. I never understood having two spouts on a double shot portafilter when I'm putting both into the same drink. They only need to add a hot water spout with a volume setting and it'll be perfect. It's a little slow on steaming compared to the thermojet in the Bambino etc.. but this level of automation with a thermojet is waaaay more expensive. Good job Ninja. Maybe Breville can lower their prices now? (Wishful thinking). I could buy 3 or 4 of these before one Oracle.

I like having as much control over my coffee making process as possible and the least amount of tech involved. I've gifted a number of ECP and Dedica machines after finding your channel, idk, two years ago now? Hey Tom. Sometimes I like to make a decaf coffee, preground Illy decaf coffee. Not great but it is simple to mnually addi it to my superautomatic machine. On Ninja it should be the same. simply skip grind step and just use preground decaf. But i am wondering of this will mess up the autosense feature of the machine and it will start recommending wrong grind setting. Or maybe it is smart enough to ignore brews where grinder was not used? It would be interesting id you could test and make a video. Maybe do a several brews with preground coffee and see if grinder recommendation will change? Thanks and keep up the great work.

That's a good question, I'm going to have to experiment with that. I know it's possible to bypass the grinder, but I haven't confirmed that the software then ignores those extractions. Cheers!

As I understand it, the Moka Pot does not have a pressurized basket. It's a perculator style, if I'm not mistaken. Big holes, and a water chamber underneath...

I do not buy stocks but if I did it would have been in this company.. 30+yrs ago I spoke to the wife of the founder as they had steam cleaners one of which I still have and over the years have gotten no less than 20 ninja/shark products I would actually say more than 20.. If I was not aware of how the world will be changing soon I would replace my Barista Pro with the new Ninja but things are soon to change and I have other priorities.

Tom, you it took 20 seconds for complete extraction, shouldn't you grind be adjusted for the Ninja and 18 seconds for the Barista Express. Thought time is king for balance and taste.

@@Sbwarwick I got for sale Delonghi Specialista. Earlier I disassemble those machine. And I got Breville and I check it construction too. I have had several Ninja products. None of them have lasted. High on features, low on durability has always been my experience. They have failed so many times in the past for me that nothing anyone says about them pursuades me to spend any money on anything they ever make. If it says "Ninja" on it, it can rot on the shelves--I have no interest and will not recommend the product to anyone. Future trash.
