Crazy thing with NW is that this song for example is not my top 10 NW songs but gives me still chills & goose bumps & racing heat beat and had to listen this, say monthly, couple of times anyway. Not many bands I can even name 10 songs....

An excellent choice by Duskwind! This is one of my favorites (I have settled on the term "one of my favorites..." for the majority of NWs songs). If you wish to hear more of Marco I would recommend "The Islander" from Tampere 2015, their cover of "High Hopes" by Pink Floyd from the End of an Era DVD from 2005 or their cover of "Phantom of the Opera" from the same DVD/Concert (Its the same concert/dvd that the Wishmaster footage was taken from). Another banger is Ghost River (not to be confused with GLS that you already reacted to) from the Wacken 2013 concert. Anyway, thank you for a great reaction and a fun channel to follow.

So many great things in this song - The power of Marko's bass line, the build ups, the abrupt (and extremely difficult) tempo changes, the harmonies, Emppu's solo, Floor's silent howl towards the end, her never ending windmill, Tuomas' brutal head banging at the end - and WEMBLEY LET'S GOOO!!! And believe me, if Emppu wanted to show off and shred, he can do it with the best of them. He's a hell of a guitarist.

You're totally right about Emppu (that guy with guitar). His playing style is not about showing off (he can do that if he wants though), but about the feeling. He plays exactly what the song needs, not more - not less. And he is always making faces while playing, i really enjoy that each time. But he is also known as prankster as well, so be carefull being next to him xD

My favourite! Tuomas windmilling. Floor silent howling. The band having so much fun. ETA You'll get to Troy eventually. He became a permanent member of the band at the same time as Floor, having guested with them for some time. A fellow Brit, he's a gifted multi-instrumentalist and singer, and he's with Tuomas and Tuomas's wife Johanna Kurkela in another band called Auri, with a self titled album that is kick-ass, and another one on the way.

Troy, it's amazing how much you add to Nightwish, not surprising, AMAZING. The whole band is overwhelming. That probably be Emppu. Each is appreciated on its own. Each song is a new window into the psyche of the band. Seeing Tuomas with a big smile on his face is something to treasure.

Opening Tom? Troy playing the Irish Bouzouki. Emppu is the guitarist, and he's very good, I believe he writes the solos and does exactly what the song needs, no flamboyance or extravagances. It's a reference to the Stephen King novel of the Calla.

Troy's Irish bouzouki to me is the star of this show. We all know about Floor's and Marco's stunning vocals, but that one instrument sets the mood and carries the melody beautifully.

I know you're newly in absolute love with nightwish and floor like I was recently. You HAVE TO WATCH POET AND THE PENDULUM!!! The short of it is when Tarja left who was the first singer they had known each other since they were like 16 and it was an ugly break up and he got a lot of blame and seems to have at least thought about suicide but instead wrote his suicide through a song. It will probably be the most impactful song you will ever hear by them.

This is my favourite, I love the song so much because of the changes, empuu’s solo, the obvious friendship between Troy and empuu, the awesome singing, and so much more! Nightwish has so many “colours” of music. If you’re into more rabbit holes, try Epica, Sancta Terra featuring Floor..

Okay so I have a solution for you so you can listen to nightwish in your car. Do the entire wacken concert (those you need to do yet) then you can get the showtime, storytime album. That is an album of that concert. Next do reactions to the entire Wembley and Tampere concerts then you can get the Vehicle of spirit album. Next do the Buenes Aires concert from 2018 then you can get the decades album and you'll be able to listen to nightwish quit a bit in the car...and at home...and at work...wait, maybe that's just me 😂😂😂

To hear Marko in all his glory, check out The Islander live at Tampere, or Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean live from Buenos Aires (Floor kills in that one, too). The guitar player is Emppu. I believe this is your first exposure to Troy…the sixth member of the band. That’s him playing the bouzouki at the beginning. He also plays guitar, flutes and whistles, and the Uilleann pipes (Irish bagpipes). He sings, too.

Emppu (Lead Guitarist) has said he does not feel the need to show off, the older he gets lol. However he does feel every song needs at least one, or two, or three guitar solos lol. He does exactly what each song needs and is a real professional at his craft like his band mates. They really care about getting it right and enjoy making music; it shows.

I think it's time you reacted to Epica live at retrospect Paris featuring Floor Jansen performing Sancta Terra. You get two of the best female singers (Simone Simonds and Floor) and an orchestra with a choir as well. Simone and Floor are best friends too you can see the chemistry when they perform. As a footnote Simone was about 6 months pregnant at the time of the show.. Your reactions just get better and better keep up the good work.

The opening featured Troy playing an electric bazouki. Empu never looks to show off his chops on guitar, he plays what the song needs and calls for, no more no less. Wembley Arena and Wembley Stadium...Queen and Foo Fighters were Wembley Stadium I think. Marco and Nightwish did a cover of High Hopes (PF) killed it. Same concert they also did Phantom of the Opera....singer at that time Tarja.....killed it. So someone asked Nightwish what genre's can you play...to which Tuomas answers......Yes.

Such a powerful song, I love it. As you like Marco singing you definitely have to check out "High Hopes"...a magnificent tribute (some say a cover) to Pink Floyd!! Btw...is it suggested to you that NW is doing 2 virtual shows on the 28th and 29th of this month? According to Tuomas they are the first in the world to do that in the way they will be doing it.
