So strange, I did some guitar lessons with you Eamonn years back. I'm heavily influenced by Skolnick now, and I always remembered you saying you met the guitar player from Testament and telling me how good he was, you had a photo with him. And here I am now, at 3.30am watching a Skolnick interview, and see your name in a comment below! lol small world.

Yes! I get a kick out of things like that. If you jump fwd to practice what you preach and listen to the ballad you'll see some lead work figures that resemble the Randy Rhodes lick he was playing. In my mind any way. Up part of an arp and down part of a scale. A position played phrygian.

So many successful guitarists were at one time under Satriani's tutelage. I didn't know Skolnick was among them. You got Jeff Tyson, Hammett, Vai, Larry LaLonde, and now Skolnick. It must have been frustrating seeing many of his students gain success before he did.

+Kris Ross And many more famous guitar players were Joe Satriani's students......Charlie Hunter, David Bryson, Doug Doppler, Kevin Cadogan, Rick Hunholt.....

He was talking about odd lineups for shows. The biggest odd lineup I witnessed was, 1st band Type o Negative, 2nd band Kings X, Headliner Motley Crue.

most of us, are copy some others ideas but a very few ones, take them to another level and push it way better. Nothiing bad of that....Because first you need to learn with the best ones....then, the studend get it higher than his master

The interview was great, well thought out and informative but not as much fun as the interviewer was to look at. She's really cute.
