@ToneLa4 жыл бұрын
Didn't tune this to Lee's pitch exactly, but whack your tuner to 432hz - Cleartune is the app Lee uses(!!!)
@MrGiorgioud4 жыл бұрын
Daniel Smith exactly what he said. Instead of tuning your A string at 440 Htz on your tuner (standard tuning, although that is going up too, orchestrae now are using 442 Htz), lower it to 432 Htz. That is a bit sharper than Ab, but lower than A.There is a current of thought, to which Lee Mavers clearly adheres to, that states that 432 Htz is more tuned with the true sound of the universe, that universal hum that the Ancient Greek philosopher Pithagoras (the one who catalogued all the scales and the modes we all use in music) said we could hear if we could obtain total silence on earth. The truth is that in the Western world the pitch has been going up and up since the 1930s. If you listen to old Arabic music records (which Lee does because he is an open-minded fellow and he gets inspiration from the most disparate sources, and you can hear it in some of the guitar phrasing on these new songs) you will notice that the pitch is way lower. If you listen to a classical music piece in both pitches, 440 and 432, you will notice a strange phenomenon: the 440 pitch makes you feel nervous and hyper in an uncomfortable way, whereas the 432 makes you feel relaxed and at peace. Lee, who clearly has his antennae vibrating to a different plan than most of us, knows this. Hence his use of 432 Hertz.

A bizarre story, one of musical integrity or perhaps mental health issues? An amazing talent nonetheless but feels kind of like a wasted career too. It’s all subjective but the first album is the best of the 1990’s.x

Very nice job. Mavers is a genius, and this would have blown most of the Britpop bands out of the water in the 90s. It would be great to hear this put through some MAL style software to clean it up - there's versions online - not as good as your Beatles/Peter Jackson version - but good enough to get rid of the hiss.
