Tonka Toy Truck Rescue & Restore | Awesome Restoration

This is a restoring of 1960s Tonka Tow Truck, also known as The AA Wrecker. I love this truck because of the amount of details it has. Back in the day they used to make amazing toy trucks! Its had a lot of rust, but it was not not deep damage, so that was good. This video was special because of the amount of time and effort I put into it. I hope in the future to do even more restoration videos of old vintage toys, like BuddyL toy trucks and cars, wyandotte trucks and airplanes from the 1930' and 1940's. My goal is to make the projects to turn out to be awesome restorations and educational experience at the same time for the viewers who also what to try restoring old vintage items. I have alot more of Tonka pressed steel toys that I can't wait to repair and restore. So stay tuned for more.

I remember that my brothers had Tonka toys, they were very special and with so much detail. Now everything is plastic and the details are only painted. Great restoration job!

Well done. I bought at an auction in the mid 80’s a nice 60-70 ish orange tonka dump truck and I only remember a yellow dump truck and I know that the parents spent money on their boys toys and I knew that one was a year older and one year younger. I got a good deal. I bought it not for playing with so none of my children was allowed to play with it and neither are my grandchildren even though they have so many toys here inside toys and outside toys my husband will get it out from the shelf to look at it and drive it for a minute time and then it is back to the shelf!

Wow, very nice restoration... 👌 when toys were made to out last a childhood and was still a good toy for the grand kids to play with for hours. Unlike today's toys, which are made out of useless plastic that breaks easily and is ready for trash within days.🙄
