In the 70's upstate New York I skateboarded in my basement on the cement floor because there was snow on the sidewalk. I had a Santa Cruz board, Road Rider Red wheels, on Tracker Trucks and that was a Unicorn on the East Coast considering there was nothing but plastic boards in the toy section of big stores. We started the monster movement that eventually bulldozed over us into an industry.
