Brendan was fine when he was first learning comedy from other comedians and he acted humble about it for awhile. But it only took a year or two into his comedy "career" where he started talking like he was some established comedian who had been working the road for 10 years. There's nothing wrong with trying something new and pushing your boundaries, but clearly Brendan's ego got the best of him to the point of self-delusion because Gringo Papi was absolutely TERRIBLE.

The main reasons he's not funny and are respected is from when he said he was basically to good for open mics and never even did one cuz "his open mics were in front of 1200 ppl"at their live shows that used to actually sell out... Telling a3-5 min story to a crowd whose there because they're all super fans and getting a couple chuckles is not preparing unfortunately comedy. And it sorta just was glazed over when he became a paid regular at the store.... The only thing I can think is Rogan called in a favor or him and Callen wrote him an act to do there and get passed.
