The real issue is that the dating culture has changed so much that people are starving for a relationship. It is human nature to want a connection. This woman is highly wrapped up into how SHE feels when with him. All you hear is how she feels in this letter. (Which we’ve all been there and understand). Having been there, what keeps you hooked is your ego. You cannot believe that you got played and refuse to accept it. You want to prove to yourself that you were right, but the game is with yourself! In order to move on, you have to accept that you overlooked the red flags, that you were feeling lonely and therefore vulnerable. And then forgive yourself, learn the lessons, take the hard lumps and emerge stronger and braver. Then you won't allow yourself to be deceived again. I was doing this for the longest, ghosting was months at a time for one day/week then months again then a day/week...but I didn't want a relationship anymore I was just not recognizing my value and even though its hard, it's necessary to develop confidence and self-worth.
