About a year ago, I went to a boxing gym for kids under 18. It was a massive BS gym to. It said no contact, but kids would get into a ring with nothing but a mouth guard. I was the last match and fought a 16-year-old boy (I was 11 at the time.) He kept hitting me in the head with shockingly painful shots, but I slipped him and hit him in the liver. He collapsed to the floor. I was scared I would get in trouble, but the coach said "Yeah, finally a good show." Also, earlier today, a kid came up to me after school and just pushed me. He landed a few shots to my chin and chest, but i punched him in the liver (lightly, but still.) Don't get in fights, unless you are defending yourself.

I'm trying to get good at liver shots. I'm southpaw so it's a lil tricky for me. My liver is on my lead side, but I have to use my power hand to reach my opponent's liver, since they're typically orthodox.

Had a big dude in highschool accidentally elbow me in the liver during gym class bc we ran into eachother, couldnt breathe for a couple seconds it was like a jolt, like the pain and shock you feel from your funny bone but everywhere lol

Got sucker punched in the liver once. Lost my breath, could barely stand on my feet but I didn't fell down which is probably due to calisthenics training. However, I did develop a fear of fighting after that and not sure how to overcome it. The thing is, I was also outnumbered and cornered with no one to help. I can't begin to descriebe how helpless you feel after a liver sucker punch that takes you out and being surrounded and outnumbered

You should get a trainer when you start

If you don't have a trainer, you should be practicing the basics absolutely perfectly on your own. Because if you build bad habits and technique on your own, a trainer is going to make you start all over again. So don't waste your own time if you can't get a trainer yet. Start slow and make it perfect.

Whilst I agree a liver shot can be devastating, I have to disagree with the liver being the largest organ. Sorry Tony, but the largest organ is the skin. Other than that, great lesson. Keep up the good work bro As a left handed fighter, I do like to put a hook into the liver when I get the chance as I'm able to deliver the power with my left hand (and hips), which most people dont expect 😉
